Doubt and Dares

I'm walking hand in hand with Michael talking about nothing particular. Just random subjects, not mentioning about what happens in the last few hours. We walk towards my house and we turn the corner and once we do we are welcomed by someone I didn't really want to see.

"Hey Rose," I say smiling a faking smile

Michael bumps into her not paying attention

"Rose??...o I'm sorry are you alright?" Michael says letting go to pick her up

"Don't worry it fine." she says holding onto him longer than she should

I feel this rage bubble burning inside me and can't he'll but think why is she always 'bumping into us' every time we are walking to my house?

Michael gets to stand and says "so what are you doing schools been out for awhile and you still have your bag with you ?" And another wave of emotions washes over after I realized it too.

Rose flatly says "I got lost." Not even trying to hide the fact she's lying. Michael smiles politely and asked where do you live I'll give you directions.

I glare at him after he says that

"I live by the supermarket but I don't know where that is." She says not making eye contact with either of us.

Michael sighs and thinks for a moment and says "Oh I know a short cut you can take you'll be at the market in a few mins"

Rose smiles and say "that's wonderful can you please show me it "

I look at my phone and see that my mom texted me.

From: Mom

Coming home early see you soon

Shit, I thought I have to go home but I don't want to leave Michael alone with Rose. Michael looks at me worried

"Babe are you OK?" He asks pulling me close

"Yeah I have to go my mom will be home soon and if I'm not home I'm as good as dead," I say disappointed and worried.

"Oh ok, I'll take Rose home and text you later OK?" He says calmly

"OK bye text you tonight." Kissing him softly on the lips

"Well Rose let's get you home," Michael says walking away from me.

"By Gen!" Rose waves good bye

I wave back but I can't help but think what could happen if they are alone together. Rose and Michael disappears from view and I start running I constantly think about what she could try and pull and it makes angry yet intended of yelling my eyes water and I basically start crying again because he's not with now he's not in my arms but walking her home or God knows what I get home painting like a dog and tears streaming down when I hear a car.

I wipe my eyes quickly and get on the couch and turn on the TV pretending to not be bothered.

I hear the door open "Hey sweetie"

She walks into the kitchen getting out a bottle of water fridge. She takes a sip and sits down next to me.

"Gen are you alright?" She asks worriedly

"Yeah, I'm fine it's allergies didn't take my allergy pills."

"But if trembling are you sure you're not sick" she touches my forehead pulling back because of the layer of sweat

"Allergies huh?"

I look at her slightly worried

"So tell me y are you a sweaty."
