Nyasha was folding away the baby blanket she had just purchased placing it in the nursery which was already furnished when she heard Marcel yelling angrily at someone as she leaned out the window she found him standing outside talking with someone over the phone."I don't know how many times I must tell you this. She doesn't need to know. I took care of Malcolm he played his role perfectly making sure not to kill her. I swoop in be her hero then give you the heir you wanted so much. Now she is pregnant, are you not happy.
Why her you ask?
Because she was an easy target. A foreigner with no relatives to easily run to," he said angrily.Stepping back into the room she looked stunned at what she had just heard. A few minutes later heavy footsteps told her he was making his way up.
"There you are!" He exclaimed walking towards her pulling her into a hug.
"How are my two favorite people," he said as his hand settled over her belly.
"We are both well," she said in a cool tone as she turned away from him reaching for more baby clothes to put away.
"Leave that. I can do it later. You need to rest, remember, doctors orders," he smiled.
"Okay," she sighed tiredly.Once in bed she waited for him to leave before her mind went over the conversation she had heard.
But Marcel loves me, right?
She thought to herself becoming alert when he walked into the room."You know what. I decided to join you," he smiled.
A forced smile appeared on her face as he closed the blinds bringing to the room into complete darkness as he pulled her into his arms letting out a tired sigh.
Counting the minutes away she waited until his breathing evened out before slipping out of bed and out of the room. Her purse in hand she told Max she wanted to drive out on her own, which he happily obliged. As she drove away from the estate the tears couldn't stop flowing as she replayed the conversation over and over again.
She caught sight of the black car following her but thanks to the traffic she slipped away for whoever was following her heading straight for the hospital. Only Alexis could help her now.-------
"What do you mean you lost her. She just went for a drive!" Marcel yelled as he opened his drawer taking out his gold encrusted gun.
"Traffic." Was all the man said before he was dead.
"Find her now!" He yelled running both hands through his hair in complete frustration as the others looked beyond scared.
Anything could have happened to her. He didn't want anything to happen to her. At first he didn't care about her, but slowly she had broken him. Only she could fix him at this very moment. He knew if she knew the truth she would hate him through all eternity. Such an easy target she was, as he realized something. The people responsible for her hit and run could have taken her.The day I spoke with Malcolm I knew she was by my door listening to us. Each word I said was so she could hear. Even the hit and run bit. If she thought we knew who it was her mind would be at ease, but mine wasn't. I still didn't know. Sure I knew my enemies but which of them would dare pull a stunt was beyond me.
Walking out of the house I stopped in my tracks as I realized something. I had been standing exactly underneath the nursery window when I spoke to my father. She definitely would have heard me from how loud I had been.
My worst nightmare had already come to life. I knew right there and then that I was without a doubt royally screwed.-----
Two months
Sending a sharp whistle two Rottweilers ran into the kitchen excitedly heading straight to Nyasha.
"Sasha, Ash behave," she said in a firm voice as the barked happily in response. "Sit!" She commanded as they obeyed whilst she added dog food to their bowls. Once done she released them as they went on to attack their meal. At five months she looked beyond happy. Sadness would only creep in when she thought of what her supposed husband had done. Two months of hiding away from him.She had both bothered to ask Alexis what she really knew about the man. Yes he was a businessman but the way people feared him, there was truly more to the story. Each night she beat herself up for falling for him, for allowing him in. But would feel rage knowing he was the orchestrator of her demise with Malcolm. He was responsible for all the horrible things she had to go through at the hands of her so called ex.
Mrs Partridge the lady from next door walked in looking pale. She was the one who always brought in her weekly groceries and checked up on her. Alexis would drive out from time to time to check up on her.
""What is wro..." She asked her words dying on her lips as Marcel walked in.
He looked somewhat terrible. He had lost weight, looked like he hadn't slept, and it looked like he was worried about something. The old lady quickly ran to my side as the dogs stood in front of us growling at Marcel."What do you want?" She spat angrily.
"Nyasha," he breathed out weakly.
He took a step forward but stopped when a bark froze him in place.
"What do you want. How did you even find me?"
"I will always find you my love."
"I am not your anything! You...you disgusting pig. I would rather be married to a madman that you," she said as her heart rate shot up.
"Baby please you need to calm down. I will explain, let me explain," he begged.
"Mr Martinez please leave this premises before I call the local police for trespassing."
"Call them," he smirked as she reached for the phone hearing no dialing tone."Ma'am you may leave," he said to Mrs Partridge who looked like she would pass out at any moment.
"Tell you hounds to stand down before I kill them," he said once she left pulling out his gun pointing it at one of the dogs.
She paled instantly at the sight of the weapon before calling the dogs over to her.
"That's a good girl," he smirked as he moved towards her. Using the barrel he stroked her cheek watching her retreating back as she visibly swallowed."You will be coming with me," he said looking her straight in the eye....
For the confused lot, hope you aren't confused any more...😬😀😀
