Moonlight City- part 1

Chapter 4

Part 1

*Elise POV*

As we walked out of Mr E and Lia's house, I waved to them goodbye. We were now on our way to Moonlight City.

I kicked some rocks while walking near the stream with my sister and Marina. Eileen was the one who knew how to get there, so we just followed her. I was getting bored. Nothing exiting was happening.

*Unknown POV*

I saw them as they as they walked past the Lili river. Maybe they could help. I started screaming for help and crying. I've been holding the crying and screaming for a long time now, waiting for someone to come and help. I couldn't move, so I didn't even try.

*Elise POV*

All of a sudden, we herd screaming and crying. One side of me was thinking 'finally! Some adventure!' And another part of me was worried and wondering if it was good, or bad.

"Let's go help!" Eileen said." Search for the person who needs help!" We searched and searched, until Marina said, "look! Another river!" "That's not a river!"I said."that's a lake made out of dragon tears!"

"Please help me! Some crazy hunters tied me up and they decided to kill me in an hour!" The poor dragon cried.

Eileen, like the crazy person she is, decided to help the dragon. She barely touched the ground because of the deep water. "Elise, pass me that knife over there!" Eileen told me.

I handed the hunters knife to Eileen, still thinking she was crazy for helping a dragon that she hasn't even met yet.

* Eileen POV*

It took me at least 20-25 minutes to cut all the rope.

"Thank you" the dragon said. She seemed nice. "My name's Amy." "Hi!" I told Amy. "This is my friend Marina, and my sister Elise. I'm Eileen." "Nice to meet you" she said.

*Elise POV*

"Since you guys helped me, what can I do for you?" Amy asked us. "You could help us get to the city!" Marina suggested. "I think you should help us get to all the places we need to go." I said. "Ok then." Eileen gave me a face that said 'too much, Elise.' But I think it was good because since she was a dragon, she could fly up to the top of the mountain, with us on her. She is really, really, really, long, so we could all fit.

"Get on" Amy told us. We got on, and she walked a few miles, said she was tired, and we all agreed to rest for a while. That's when I found out that she walked the whole way, and didn't fly a bit. "Your a dragon, right?" I asked. "Of course I am silly!" Amy said. "Then why did you walk instead of fly the whole way? Dragons fly you know." I told her. "I can't fly."she told me."WHAT?!?! HOW?!?!?" I screamed at her. "I've tried, but its no use. Dragons do fly, you are correct, but for some reason, I just can't. I'm quite different than other dragons you know. I haven't met any other dragons yet, though."

She paused to think, and said," let me tell you a story... ( this is the story about how Amy was born.)

'Once, there was a great painter. He lived in a village that was very poor, it was poor because the very high taxes. This is were my story begins.

I was painted by the painter named Alavin. He had an assistant named Joseph. When he painted me, he painted me on the ground.

He painted me with a special rock, witch he made into paint. And he painted me with no eyes. I couldn't see, feel, talk,or move, but I could hear. One day, I heard Alavin talk to Joseph about something.

"Why doesn't she have eyes?" Asked Joseph. "You will learn sooner or later." Alavin said. "For now, lets get this dragon picture to King Shoofoo." I was carried around until we finally arrived. "Here is the picture you wanted" Alavin told another person, witch I thought was Shoofoo. "So, you will lower the taxes for my village for a year, right?" "Yes" said Shoofoo. "You may leave now." Alavin left, and I heard Shoofoo shouting to his men: " be careful! No not there! Do you even know where to put it?! You know what?! Your fired!" Shoofoo didn't seem so nice, and he wasn't. Suddenly, he said, " wait! Put it back down!" The men took me down from the wall and set me on a long table, since I was a very long painting. He looked at me closely, and said, " this man gave me an unfinished painting! You know what?! I'm going to make his village's taxes the highest of any other village!" One of the men, (scared) tried to calm him down by saying" we could just paint it new eyes, right?" Shoofoo calmed down, and said," fine. Get a paintbrush and some black paint." His assistant did as so, and Shoofoo put 2 little dots on my face for eyes, and for once, I felt myself standing up. I finally could see and feel and talk. I gave a big " ROOOOOR!!!!!" I heard screaming and saw people running around. I tried to fly, but felt heavy and couldn't. So I walked my way out of the place, destroying mostly everything. I've been living in jungles ever since."

"And that" Amy said taking in deep breaths." Is my story" " so you are very old!" Marina said rudely. "Marina!" Eileen looked at her all serious like. Amy giggled. "It's ok."

We headed to Moonlight City again, all rested and ready. When we got there, there was walls surrounding the city, with a door to let us in." I will stay out here" Amy told us. "They might be scared of me."

*Amy POV*

I saw them go into the city, not knowing what to do. For the first time in my life, I had made a friend. What do friends do anyways?

The walls looked like they were made out of stone bricks, witch for me was easy to break through, just in case of an emergency. The door to the city was surrounded by lion witch were made out of stone. On one side there was an adult lion with a kid lion in front of it. On the other side there was another adult lion, holding a crystal ball (witch was crystal, not stone) on its paws.

Then I saw some people coming, so I had to hide. I saw some trees near by that could be used to hide in, so I went in there.

Suddenly, I heard a growl from near the city walls. I looked at the wall and the gate, and noticed that the lions were gone.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I heard a voice say. "Now you might be scaring her!" I heard another voice say. "Who are you?" I found the courage to finally say." I came in peace!" "See?! I told you so!" I heard voice #2 say.

Suddenly, I saw the 3 lions walking towards me. " let me introduce ourselves" said one of the adult lions. " I am the Mommy lion. Over here is the Daddy lion. You can tell us apart by the scratch/mark on his face. And right here is Baby lion." " ya! I'm supposed to look like I'm 3, but I'm actually 100 years old." The baby lion said. " hi!" I said." I'm Amy."

*Eileen POV*

We walked around, trying to find the kings palace.

Suddenly, I bumped into someone and fell. Without even looking at the person, I said " I am so sorry!" When I helped him up, I saw him. He had brown hair that covered his dark black eyes slightly. For the first time in my life, I had felt in love. He was my first crush.

I twirled my red hair shyly. " hi" he said." I'm Theo." I was speechless. He was so cute!
