Chapter 5

Tris POV

Tobias and I both stare into each others for a moment. After the moment of silence Tobias says, "How are you, Beatrice?"

"Did you just call me Beatrice?"

"Thought I would give it a try." He smiles. "Not good?

"Maybe on special occasions only. Initiation days, Choosing day..." (From Insurgent by Veronica Roth)

He laughs, "Okay, Tris. How are you?"

"Alright, I guess, definitely better than last night."

He nods and frowns, "you still believe Peter?"

"No, I know you never break up with me for that. I just feel bad."

"You feel bad? About what?"

"I just can't give you much. I mean, your 18 years old and you've never slept with anyone."

"Tris, I don't care about that. I love you and I will wait as long as you need."

I smile and so does he. He gets up from his chair and walks across the table to me. We both memorize each other and he leans into my lips and we start to kiss, passionately. As we kiss he picks me up and I wrap my legs around him and he carries me over to the couch. We stop kissing after a few minutes and we both catch our breath. He asks me, "so, what do you want to do today?"

"I don't know but tomorrow I have to choose my job." I say while sighing. I hate working.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. What do you think you'll be picking?"

"I was thinking a initiate trainer, you know, with my amazing boyfriend and in between that a tattoo artist."

"Sounds good. What if they ask to join leadership?"

"I wouldn't take it, I'm not such a good leader."

"I find that hard to believe. Your amazing and I think you'd be a great leader."

I smile, "Thanks, Tobias Eaton."

He smiles too, " Of course, Tris Prior. I love you."

"I love you too."

"I love you three."

"I love you four."

"I know." He smirks.

I put my hands on my hips and laugh, "No fair, you made me do that!"

He laughs too and just then someone knocks on the door. Tobias groans and stands up. He opens the door and I turn around. I see Christina standing in the doorway, looking nervous.

"Is Tris here? I need to talk to her." She says immediately while playing with her fingers.

I stand up and walk to the door. "Yeah, I'm here. Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you...Alone. Can you come on a walk with me?"

I look at Tobias and he nods, "Of course."

I grab my jacket and head out the door. Tobias says goodbye and shuts the door behind me. Christina and I begin walking. She plays with her fingers and we walk in silence for a moment.

I decide to break the silences and ask, "What's wrong?" She obliviously wants to tell me something.

She stops walking and looks at me, "W-Will broke up with m-me."

I stop walking too and look at her. Her eyes are glassy and she's trying not to cry. I embrace her into a hug and whisper in her ear, "it's okay to cry." After that she starts crying, letting the tears fall down her cheeks.

We pull apart and I say, "do you want to talk about it?"

"I guess," she sniffles, "I just am so upset."

I nod and we head to her apartment. We walk in and sit on the couch. We sit in silence for a moment, with the sound of her sniffles fulling the room.

When she calms down a bit I ask her, "Why did he brake up with you?"

"We got into a fight," she takes a deep breath, "because he said I was to pushy and to clingy." She starts crying again and I embrace her in another hug.

"It's going to be okay." I reassure her.

She pulls away from me and wipes her tears. She lets out a weak smile and I do to but sadness is hidden behind both of our smiles. I feel horrible for her, I know how much she liked Will. I can't believe he would even do such a thing to her.

"You know what? We should do something to get your mind off it." I say, still smiling as a attempt of making her feel better.

"Yeah." She says but she doesn't smile back. It silent for a minute then she says, "We should trash his apartment!"

"But...But that's mean." My abnegation kicks in and I want to take back what I said. It made me sound like a baby who didn't want her friend to steal someone's doll.

"We're Dauntless. Isn't that what Dauntless do?"

I shrug my shoulders and she grabs my hand then drags me out of her apartment. We walk down the hall, take a few turns, then we arrive at Will's apartment. She knocks and no one answers. She knocks again and still no one answers. Then, she pulls her keys to his apartment out of her back pocket and unlocks the door.

She puts her finger to her lips telling me to be quiet and we walk in. I quietly shut the door behind us and she's already throwing pillows off the couch. I join her and we throw the cushions across the room. Then, we head into the kitchen and take all the rags and put them all over the counter, ripping a few in the process. Next, I head to the bathroom and she heads to his room. I take the toilet paper and throw it everywhere. Then, I take the shower curtain down and throw the shampoo bottle in the toilet. I take his toothbrush and dip the top into the toilet as well. Last, I take everything out of the closet and throw them on the ground. I also dump the trash out of the trash can everywhere.

I admire my work for a moment then head out of the bathroom. Christina is done with his bedroom and is now throwing the trash from the trash can in the kitchen everywhere. After that we quietly head out the door and sprint back to Christina's apartment while laughing.

*Time Lapse*

I laugh, "Okay I'll see you tomorrow." She smiles in reply then I head out the door. I walk back to Tobias and I's apartment. I walk in to did Tobias sitting on the couch reading a paper. He turns around when he hears the door open.

"Finally, you've been out for a while. I was started to get nervous." He says then stands up and walks towards me.

I smile and he puts his hands on my shoulders. "I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me."

"I know I don't have to, but you know I always will."

I laugh, "I know."

He smiles and we walk into our bedroom. I grab my pajamas, which is really just one of Tobias' t-shirts that's really big on me, and head into the bathroom. I change and throw my clothes into the hamper. I walk back into our room and he's already laying in bed. I lay next him and he wraps his arm around me. The last thing I hear is, "I love you, so much" then, I fall into a peaceful sleep.
