Chapter 8

Tris POV

Tobias and I walk into the dining hall and our friends are sitting at the usual table. Christina's see us and waves us over. I half and smile and grab Tobias' hand then we walk over. We sit down next to each other, with Cristina next to me and Lynn next to Tobias.

"Hey guys!" Christina says.

"Hey! Four and I were thinking we could all do something together today, you guys in?"

Everyone says yeah and then Uriah says, "so what is it that we're going to do?"

"Ohhhh we should go shopping!!!" Christina exclaims. Everyone looks and her and shouts 'no!"

"I think we should go zip lining." Zeke says with excitement.

"We can't, Four w—"

Tobias cuts me off mid sentence, "No, no. You guys go and I'll wait at the bottom for you."

"No we're not going to leave you out like that." I reply.

"It's fine, don't worry about me. Go have fun." Tobias says.

"Okay we're all good with that. See you at the bottom Four." Will says and everyone stands up.

"Are you sure?" I ask Tobias, feeling bad to leave him.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He kisses me then says, "go have fun, I'll see you soon."

I smile, "okay, I love you."

"I love you too."

After that I walk off to catch up with my friends, still feeling a bit guilty that I left Tobias.

*Time Laspe*

Uriah straps me into the harness, "you ready?"

"Yeah!" I answer and will that he sends me off. I smile and put my arms out. My memories from initiation on the zip line flood back and my smile grow wider.

As the wind pass me my hair flies everywhere in front of my face, making me feel more and more like a bird. I take in everything around me and then pull my hands to my chest.

Soon I am flung straight down the zip line and I'm heading towards the wall. I see Tobias at the end smiling and watching me. I pull the brake and jump out of the harness, landing on my feet when I hit the ground.

I then run up to Tobias and give him a hug, "you need to try that sometime." I whisper into his ear.

"Maybe sometime, but not anytime soon." He replies, chuckling a little bit.

We stop hugging and I smile at Tobias. We hear Uriah's excited scream and we turn to watch him finish coming down the zip line. Uriah's that last one to go so after he finishes we all decide to go back to Tobias' and I's apartment for a game of 'Never Have I Ever".

When we all get back to Tobias and I's apartment we all sit in a circle on our boyfriends laps, well besides Lynn, she's sitting next to Will and Christina.

Everyone has a beer in there hand, including myself. I've never drank before because, according to the Abnegation rules, I'm under age. Dauntless is different though, pretty much every teenager drinks.

"Tris, how about you go first." Tobias says.

"Okay." I pause and think for a moment, "never have I ever been to candor headquarters." Christina takes a sip of her beer.

"Never have I ever had sex." Tobias says. Uriah, Marlene, Zeke and Shauna take a sip of their beer.

"Never have I ever been a stiff." Cristina says wiggling her eyebrows at me. I take a sip and Tobias hides his behind my back and takes a sip. The beer tastes bland as it slides down my throat but I don't tell anyone I think it's gross.

"Never have I ever ate dauntless cake." Will says and everyone looks at him shocked and then everyone takes a sip of their beer.

We keep going on for a while until all of our beer bottles are empty. After a while of drinking my beer, I began to like the taste. Then we all throw away are beer bottles and Zeke and Shauna leave for there date. Christina, Will, Uriah and Marlene decide to go home about 10 minutes after that.

"Guess what?" Tobias says.

"What?"

"We have the apartment all to ourselves." Tobias says, walking closer to me and wiggling his eyebrows. Then, he kisses me. I wrap my legs around his waist and we continue kissing. It turns into a make out session but soon my lungs beg for air and I have to pull away. I smile while I catch my breath.

"That was fun." Tobias says smirking. I laugh and so does he. I focus on his laugh for a minute, I love his laugh...

Once we catch our breath we stare into each other eyes. His stormy blue eyes send me to a far away land, into an ocean of thoughts. I get distracted by them every time I look at him. My thoughts are interrupted by his soft lips crashing into mine again. I drape my hands over his back and he grabs my waist. Before we even know it Tobias takes me to our room and we sit on our bed, still making out. Then, Tobias shirt is off and and his hands are at the hem of my shirt. He starts lifting my shirt when I push his hand down and we pull away.

"Tris, oh my god, Tris I'm so sorry, I got lost in the moment and I didn't know what I was doing and I just love you so much and I'm—" Tobias rambles in an apologetic tones before I cut him off by putting my finger to his lip.

"It's okay, Tobias. It's not your fault. I got lost in the moment too." I pause for a moment to make up my mind, "I think I'm ready."

He looks at me and raises his eyebrows, "Are you sure?"

I smile slightly and nod. Then he smiles to and begins kisses me. Soon we only have underwear on and I freeze. I feel like I can't move, I feel stuck, I feel afraid.

We just stare into eyes for a moment, laying side by side naked. He looks at me in a way that I understand, he's asking me if I'm sure I'm ready.

I close my eyes for a minute then when I open them I slowly shake my head. He understands and then nods. He gives me a quick kiss on my forehead and stands up putting his pants on.

I get up too and get dressed into my pajamas. As soon as I do though, I begin feeling upset. I really wanted to but I was too afraid. I take a deep breath and turn to Tobias who's starring out the window, waiting for me to get finish getting dressed.

"Tobias, I'm sorry." I say taking a deep breath.

He turns around and smiles, "there's nothing to be sorry about, I'm proud of you. You tired to not let fear get the best of you and that's all that maters."

I smile softly at the comment. I walk up to him and hug him. He hugs me back and I realize how great he really is.

"Wanna go on a walk or somthing?" He asks me as we pull away.

"Sure, a walk sounds good." I answer, smiling.

He smiles back at me and puts on a shirt. We then intertwin our hands and we walk out the door, Tobias locking it behind us. We walk to the chasm and sit on the rock we had our first kiss on. The spray of the water splashes on our pajamas as we talk, laugh and kiss.
