After taking my third piece of paper, my stomach growled. “Um, Miss Seletine?”

“Yes, Miss Wardal.” She said, not taking her eyes off of her paperwork.

“Shouldn’t we be able to actually eat lunch during lunch detention?” I asked.

She gave me a glare. “Miss Wardal, I don’t suppose you want after school detention for your attitude problem, so I suggest you keep writing.”

I don’t have an attitude problem, I thought, and then turned back to my work. I could be getting my dare done right now. Which reminded me, I have four more hours to get my dare completed…

“Miss Seletine!” I said again, worried.

What, Miss Wardal?” She asked with gritted teeth.

I got nervous on what to say, so I just panicked and said “Luigi!”

“That is it Miss Wardal, you have afterschool—”

“No!” I yelled. At this point, Penn, Jack, and Danny were all staring at me, Danny with a smirk on his face. “No, I promise I’ll be better. No more talking. Promise.”

She glared at me evilly and pointed her finger at me. “One more chance, Miss Wardal. One more chance.”

I shut myself up and turned back to my papers, writing “I mustn’t give attitude” for probably the two hundred seventy-fifth time. Danny chuckled, and I turned around, made sure Seletine wasn’t looking, and flipped him off. He chuckled even more and I turned around before Seletine looked up.

“Mr. Bellis!” she yelled. “How many times have I said to be quiet?”

“I don’t know, enough to make me listen?” he leaned back in his chair and gave her a smirk.

“Mr. Bellis, I am your teacher and you will show me, along with the Chair Board, some respect.” she glared. At this point we were all staring again. “BACK TO YOUR WORK, ALL OF YOU!” she yelled. We all jumped and started writing again.

“I will show you what I want to show you and your stupid Board.” Danny said.

Not your smartest move, Bellis, I thought. Not your smartest move.

Miss Seletine finally snapped. “DETENTION FOR YOU, MR. BELLIS, FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. AS FOR ALL OF YOU, GET OUT OF MY SIGHT. GO ON, GO.”

We looked at her for a second. “So you’re saying… we can leave?” Jack asked, to be sure.

“YES, NOW GO.” She yelled.

We got up slowly and walked out. I looked at Danny, he laughed at the look I gave him. When we were out of earshot of Seletine, I laughed too. “Danny, that wasn’t overly smart.”

“Am I known to be smart?” he asked.

Jack, Penn, and I laughed. Penn walked a little closer to Danny than normal and I chuckled under  my breath. “What?” Penn asked.

“Oh, nothing.” I lied.

She shrugged.

We all walked towards the grand dining room, which was a cream colored room with circular tables with white table cloths draping over each one. Each had cream chairs surrounding them and butlers taking away dirty plates from the Project Members.

There was a salad bar so I opted for that since I was a vegetarian. The others went to go order what they wanted as I got some tossed salad and some bread. I put it on a provided tray and we all walked to a table together.
