I scanned the room I was in. I was surrounded by doctors, who glared at me with shocked expressions. I spotted Damon outside the room, pacing in the hallway. What had just happened, I thought to myself.
"What happened to me?" I said. "Your...your heart stopped. Your friend outside brought you here because you fainted. As we were trying to arouse you, your heart stopped for the last 6 minutes and...you were dead," the doctor said. He had a puzzled look on his face, but I could see fear too. "Well, obviously I'm not dead and I feel more alive than ever. Sorta," I said, as I ripped off my IVs and stepped out of bed. "No, Ms. Bennett you can't leave. We need to perform tests. This is impossible and-", the doctor was interrupted by Damon as he dashed in and compelled all the of them to leave me alone and forget this ever happened. He grabbed my hand and did his vampire running, it still amazed me. We reached my apartment, and I was sitting on my bed in 5 seconds.
"Look Bon Bon, we need to talk," Damon said. "Yeah I know. Damon what happened? The last thing I remember was doing the spell and everything turned white and then....," I said. I wasn't sure if I should tell him, about seeing Elena. I feared he'd pressure me to bring him to her, which could be a significant risk. But Damon being repulsive as he is, he said, "Bonnie you have to tell me. Did you see Elena?" How did he know I saw Elena? "Bonnie you were talking, while you were all unconscious, you were talking to her. So don't try to hide it from me," he said. "Okay Damon yeah I saw her. The spell I did said it wasn't always accurate and I guess it was right," I said, hoping there'd be no further discussion. "Bring me to her. Bonnie I need to see her," Damon said. "Damon I can't do that! It's too much of a risk and I can't loose you," I said. Damon looked into my eyes, and there was a moment. It felt like the world had stopped, and only Damon and I existed.
"Yeah. Yeah, sorry....well you rest. It's been a long day Bonnie. See you tomorrow," Damon said. I hadn't even realized it was already 8:34 pm. "Okay. Night," I responded. And just like that he left. It was weird, how all of a sudden he changed his mind. I thought he'd be more eager to meet with Elena, not considering the risks, but instead he reevaluated it in less than a minute. It was very unlike Damon. Very.
