Tristan's POV

Asher: "Where do you think you're going?"

Tristan: "To see Cara at work."

Asher: "Oh I'll go with you."

Tristan: "No I just want to see her."

Asher: "Um she's my friend."

Tristan: "Um she's mine too. And besides I doubt she wants to see you right now, or ever again."

Asher: "Oh don't be so over dramatic."

Tristan: "I'm not. You've been treating her like shit lately. You're my brother, and I don't even wanna be around you."

Asher: "Fine then don't. Like I care if my bitchy little brother talks to me or not."

I slam the door and get my bike. I notice this unfamiliar girl outside of Cara's house. She had short, wavy, auburn hair, and was wearing shorts and a crop top. I walk over to introduce myself, mainly because I'm still single, and also because I've never seen her in the neighborhood before.

Tristan: "Hi, I'm Tristan. Are you looking for something?"

Dani: "Tristan what the fuck it's me," she turns around.

Tristan: "Dani??"

Dani: "Dude seriously, what is wrong with you."

Tristan: "No, nothing, it's just that you look so.. different."

Dani: "Thanks?"

Tristan: "No, it's a good different, I've just never seen you with makeup, or men's clothes, or short hair, or brushed hair for that matter. And what did you do to your ears?"

Dani: "Um, I pierced them."

Tristan: "No shit those are are real?"

Dani: "Yes Tristan," she rolls her eyes playfully.

Tristan: "Damn, sorry for being interested," I laugh.

Dani: "Well I have to go, but I'll see you around."

Tristan: "Yeah see ya."

I ride off on my bike and start asking myself a million questions. Since when did Dani MelRose become hot? Is she into me? Am I into her? Should I ask her to Homecoming? Nah I can't ask a 12 year old to Homecoming. Damn.. puberty hit her like a truck.. I ride up to Harbor Sweets, and walk into a dead empty store.

Tristan: "Cara," I put my hands on my hips, "We're you threatening the customers again?"

Cara: "Ha.Ha. What a comedian. What are you doing here twerp."

Tristan: "Wow, nice way to treat a paying customer," I say, holding up money.

Cara: "Oh thank god. I've barely had any customers today and it's usually packed on Sundays."

Tristan: "Yikes. What have you been doing for the last three hours?"

Cara: "Eating the chocolate."

Tristan: "Nice Cara."

Cara: "What? I'm starving. Now are you gonna give me money or what?"

Tristan: "Patience child. I'll have a Sweet Sloops Clear Bag."

Cara: "Alright coming right up. Feel free to use that jar right there to lighten up your wallet," she pushes her tip jar towards me.

Tristan: "I'm sure I can spare a few coins," I say, putting $5 in the jar.
