Not every story needs a title
Dear reader;
My name is Sophie and I'm just an average 17 year old, there's really nothing special about me I live in a small town called Rosefield with my parents and 2 younger siblings. I go to a fairly small school and the only people I really talk to there are my two best friends Skyler and miles. The classes here are all not to bad except for religion class, I think it's a waste of time since I don't believe in god, I don't believe that everything happens for a reason and I do not believe in second chances, if u screw up u screw up and don't get another shot because of that I would like to share a story with you about how I screwed up.
It all started on Thursday May 22th 2014, it was just a regular school day things were pretty quiet and boring like usually the only difference was that more and more people started talking about an upcoming party that was going to take place on Hannah's farm witch is not far outside of Rosefield. Hannah was pretty much the s*** of our school she was also very popular, pretty, preppy, judgmental and defiantly up in everyone's business. I personally didn't really like her and because of that I didn't really have any interest on going to her party even though she invited me, Skyler and miles after she was bragging about how great it's going to be and how much alcohol there will be.
After school Skyler and I went to her house to do some homework but mostly watch Netflix when I suddenly heard my phone ring a saw that I got a message from Jayden "hm well that's nice" I thought to myself since him and I haven't talked in a while. Jayden and I where good friends before he moved 3 years ago I haven't seen him since, I kind of missed talking to him. That night we ended up talking and catching up with each other until it was time for both of us to get some sleep, in our conversation he mentioned that he was going to come to Rosefield this weekend to visit his grandparents, I was kind of exited about those news since I was wondering what he would be like now, before he moved he was very skinny build, smart, kind, funny and very protective. But ever since he left we got more distant from each other.
The next day after school Jayden texted me and was wondering if I wanted to hang out so I agreed to meet him at the coffee shop in town, the coffee shop wasn't far from where I lived so I decided to just walk there. when I walked through the doors of the building I saw Jayden already sitting at a table with a large coffee, after I ordered myself a coffee as well I sat down next to him. He actually changed a lot he grew a lot taller & started working out. We talked and caught up with each other for a bit, he was talking about his grandparents and how things are in his new hometown. Things seemed very natural between us it's like we never stopped talking. When it was time for me to go home it started raining so he offered to drive me home, I accepted his offer and we got into his truck heading to my house. Before I left his truck he was talking about Hannah's party tomorrow and asked me if I wanted to go. To be honest I didn't want to go to the party but I thought it would be nice to spend more time with Jayden so I agreed to go with him. "Great ill see u there" he said before I left the truck and walked to my house door.
On the next night I went over to Skyler's house and Skyler, miles and I started getting ready for the party. Skyler and miles both seemed very excited when we got into Skyler's car and made our way out to Hannah's farm. I told Skyler and miles that Jayden would be at the party, they both seemed very happy about those news since they haven't seen him in a long time.
When we arrived at the party I realized it was much different from what I expected. There were a lot more people than I thought there would be. It was a blackout party... within the first 20 minutes of being there I realized how much alcohol there was and how many drugs where passed around. I was offered some weed by some girl that seemed like she was way too drunk to even stand I declined her offer and started looking for Jayden. Once I found him we walked over to Skyler and miles and started talking, we were actually having a good time and after a short while Skyler and I started drinking. I wasn't much of a drinker but it didn't take Skyler and I long to get drunk. Jayden and I were talking but then he suddenly asked me if I wanted to go for a ride to the river that we always used to hang out at a couple years ago. I agreed to go with him because I haven't been at that river in a long time, I remembered it being really beautiful with the surrounding trees and flowing water.
Once we arrived by the river he parked his truck on the side of the road and we started walking through a few trees and then sat down beside the shore line, we were having a good time and talked about the memories we had at this river when suddenly he pulled a plastic bag out of his pocket inside the bag I saw 2 little pills that looked like ecstasy to me. I was kind of shocked because Jayden was never the person to do drugs. He asked me if I would like some, after I said no he took both of the pills. I didn't know what to say I decided not to say anything because I didn't want him to feel judged. "Oh god" I thought to myself because I had no idea how we were to get home he was obviously not going to be able to drive and neither was I...
Things were okay until he became very clumsy and touchy I told him to stop but all he said was "I know u like me, come on" I again told him to stop but he didn't listen I could tell that the drugs started to kick in... He tried to reach up my dress I wanted to scream at him but he covered my mouth with his strong hands. He had full control over me, I tried to kick him off of me and get his hands away from my face but I wasn't strong enough agents him. He pressed his hands around my neck and I couldn't move I was crying... internally screaming. How could things of went so wrong and how could I be so stupid to go with a guy I barely knew without letting anyone know where I was going. His grip tightened around my neck as I lost vision... Everything went blurry... And then black... I was unconscious... he looked over me for a couple minutes, he seemed sad but mostly confused. I wish I knew what went through his mind in that moment. I still wonder if what he did to me was planned the whole time or if it was the drugs that made him want to do this... A car pulled up in the distance and a far voice started yelling Jayden's name... Jayden panicked and pushed me into the river and just like that my story came to an end.You might be wondering how I wrote this letter to you but that's a secret only dead girls know..
