Deal? Deal.

"He's crazy. He hurt Park Eunhye and he shouted at you. Seriously! I didn't know a guy can actually do that, you and your cousins are known for your charms that no one can resist!" Hanseol said in a surprised and annoyed voice.

"Stop making us look high and mighty, it's awkward. Plus, I deserved that kind of cold treatment. I practically meddled with his life." I shrugged nonchalantly, ignoring her irritated tone. "Seol, keep quiet about this."

Hanseol and I settled on a vacant table. It's lunch break and she's usually with her boyfriend at a time like this (but he was absent) and I'm supposed to be with my cousins, but they're on club duties right now and will probably be late for lunch.

"That's not enough reason for him to shout at you, though. What's his name again? Jongkook? Jungcock? Jeong-"

"Jungkook." I corrected, mentally rolling my eyes. I don't understand why we're even talking about him. "Jeon Jungkook. Remember the tall, brown haired guy who picks Eunhye after class? That's him."

It was as though a light bulb appeared on top of her head as she snapped her fingers. "Oh, him! I remember now!" She nodded, frowning. "He's actually hot but I still hate him for shouting at you..."

I rolled my eyes, laughing lightly afterwards, "You're committed, alright? You have a boyfriend!" I reminded her in a joking manner.

"I know, I know!" She stuck her tongue out. "And besides, you'll probably kick my ass if I steal him from your cousin."

Most students here are aware that Eunhye has a boyfriend. I'm certain everybody has seen Jungkook right after our dismissal. They've held hands in public—in school, to be more specific—and Jungkook would sometimes kiss her cheek. I'm sure everyone's familiar with his face by now, probably even knowing his name.

"Anyway," Hanseol chewed on her food before bringing her gaze back to me. "I understand your side of the story. You want them to reconcile and that's a clean intention, I'll give you that. But think of the wounds they left each other. Maybe Eunhye told Jungkook things that hurt him a lot. I'm not saying it's your cousin's fault, but just be rational, I guess. Those two would have made up already if their arguement had no meaning. Eunhye should give Jungkook some time. And you should probably give up, too. It's between the two of them only."

I've always told myself that I'm out of the picture but hearing someone else say it to me seemed like a slap in the face. Hanseol is a light-hearted and carefree type of girl and she's a big help to me. I appreciate that she's here for me. She's able to hear out the things I refuse to let my cousins know.

I think I have been too silent and I looked as if I was too affected by the situation and this caused Hanseol to tap the table gently before questioning, "Are you okay? Did I say something offensive? You look-"

"I'm fine." I reassured, sending a smile. "Let's eat."

Classes were tough. Last year was laborious but I had no idea that the pressure this year would be overflowing. We're graduating students, I know, and I expected it to be a difficult journey but I guess you can never measure the pressure until you're finally facing it.

When my last period came to an end, I immediately unlocked my phone, only to be greeted by Eomma's message. She told me that she's with my father and Hyomin, my sister, for a dinner with some of their work mates.

They invited me to go with them but these days, I get out of school later than usual due to some unfinished work—which leads me to the fact that my family will be out tonight and I'll eat alone in the house.
