"I love you Shelby." I said as I pulled a bouquet of roses put from behind my back. Was something.. Wrong? Did I say it too suddenly? Ugh I messed up didn't I? She just... Stared at me.. I-I didn't mean to...
"Jaymes." She said as she started slowly walking towards me.
"Uhhhhh. Y-yea?" I was nervous. Even if we are, or were in this case, friends. Best friends. Its too... Awkward now...
But sh-she sat down on my lap facing me. I was speechless, she smiled and leaned in towards me.
"I love you too Jaymes.." And with that, she closed the distance between our lips and began to faulter over her words.
"I don't even know how long I've been keeping this inside me Jaymes... I'm so relieved." She smiled.
"As am I.."
About an hour later, it was 4:37 pm.
"You wanna.... Go for a walk?" I asked unaware of her video schedule.
"A walk... Today? Now? Uhhh I have a schedule. In fact.. Oh shoot! I forgot about the time! I need to go record some videos!" I looked at her confused.
"Videos? Oh! Right! You have a YouTube channel correct?" She nodded and got up off my lap.
"I'm really sorry Jaymes. Maybe tomorrow? If I don't get up late again that is." She replied.
I smiled and said "Don't worry about it Shelby! I'll see you tomorrow!" She giggled and walked me to the door. As we said goodbye I felt an emptiness inside me. Is this what it felt like to.... Love someone that much?
"Only time will tell... Let's go for a walk Jaymes.."
