"Its not as bad as it sounds!" I say even though I know very well that it is worse then it sounds.

"Adam!" Grace shouts at me so loud I have to sit down. Grace says it once more, "Adam," but this time she says it so quietly I am not sure she really said it.

"Its fine." I say, even though it isn't.

She breaks into tears, and we sit down together for a long time before she finally breaks the silence, "I'm sorry, I just..." she trails off for alittle bit in her thoughts before she starts again, "I gave up so long..."

"We all did."

"I was so stupid."

"No you weren't!"

"Stop, Adam. It was my fault. I was the one who believed that stupid lie."

"We all believed him Gracie, you can't blam yourself for what happened in the past. Plus, its the past we're talking about anyway, lets just leave it there!"

"How can I?! He lied to us, adam! Then he disappered, and got away! How can I let that go?" Grace has a point there.

"You don't."

"See! Even you agree!"

"Let me finish. You can't let that go, but you can put it out of your head for alittle while, just while we do this case, then you can be mad at him all you want but Grace, but for now you can't compermise this case!" I finish talking, and we don't talk again for awhile because everything is still sinking in.

"I can't make any promises."
