Trouble (Miniminter FF/AU)

° Chapter 5 °

(Friday)

Mum woke me up telling me her and dad were leaving. I got down to the front door and hugged them.

"Stay safe." I said and hugged them, Maya also had her backpack and she was ready to go.

"We'll be back tomorrow evening, so you know you have some money. You can buy yourself something to eat or order something. Clean the house and blah blah blah, you know it. We'll drive Maya to her friend's house so you have to pick her up at 9 tomorrow morning. For the rest we'll call you." Mum said

"Okay." I said

"Bye, drive safe." Taylor said and they left. I closed the door and looked at her.

"We still have the deal?" she asked crossing her arms

"Yeah." I said

"Okay then, just don't try to organise the party, it's my thing okay?" she asked

"don't even want to." I said

She nod her head and went to her room. I went to my room as well and waited for school.

Few hours later I went to school. Today should be a very short day and I just want this party to end as fast as possible.

I got to my clique and sat down next to them before the class starts. The tension is still a bit tight in the air between me and Mike.

"I've heard there were some problems here." Peter (the 'leader') said lighting a cigarette.

I made eye contact with Mike, but looked away and said:

"Oh, me and Mike had a little problem, but we solved it." I said slightly lying, Mike looked down.

"Oh yeah? About what?" Peter asked.

My heart raced fast. I can't tell the truth, because everyone is overreacting it.

"Nothing special. I was very short tempered few days ago, and basically most people annoyed me, so I took it all on Mike, but then we sorted it out." I said

"Oh, just chill more. You should light one blunt up with us tonight." He said

I heard the school bell ring.

"I'll think about it." I said picking up my bag and left with Melanie as fast as possible. I check my schedule.

I have biology, fuck. Simon.

"We have biology now?" I ask panicking a bit

"Yeah, chill. Mrs. Rose won't bother us today. " Melanie told me our biology teacher is absent. So we'll have substitution..great

We entered the classroom. 

The first thing I notice is Simon, sitting in the desk in front of me. WHAT? He doesn't usually sit there.

How come I've never noticed him in the entire class?

Melanie sat in the left row, and I sat where I usually sit; in the middle row, last desk.

I sat down, and we waited for the substitute for about 3 minutes. I put my earbuds in and listen to some music. I looked Simon in front of me a few times, I don't know why.

After a few moments our history teacher comes in. Yes, finally someone normal.

"Okay guys, your biology teacher is sick and we don't have any biology substitutes so I'll be here, you can talk in silence, study or whatever, just don't be loud, okay?" he said as he sat down in the chair

"Thanks Mr. Jackson, you're a G." Someone yelled and he giggled.

Nerds were on the one end, studying and talking about school. On the other side were the popular ones and they talked about something that I couldn't quite understand and on the last end were Hipsters talking about fashion. I shook my head and looked at Melanie. She was sleeping.

Well, great..

I also notice Simon is alone as well, no one from his group has biology with him. I keep looking around, until I notice he turned around.

"What's up?" he asked

"Why are you talking to me right now?" I asked him taking the earbuds out of my ears.

"I don't even know." He said smiling and it made me smile, but I try to cover it.

"Since when do you sit here?" I asked confused

"Since last biology class, you wouldn't know because you skipped the class." He said playing with the pencil in his hand. I notice people looking at us

"Look Simon, I don't want any trouble, and get hated because I talk to someone I shouldn't talk to, so please don't do this." I said to him shortly and directly, looking down

"Stop caring so much, they don't even know how life works." He said

"Yeah, but I want to respect the rules, so I don't hate my life. It's easy for you, you're in the football team. Whatever, people will forget you hang out with someone different as soon as you find a cheerleader to be your girlfriend, or something. And where will I go? I have nowhere to go if I get kicked out." I say and he completely turned around, talking to me.

"Really? It's easy for me? Most eyes are on me because of football. So yeah, I should be pressured, but I just don't care." He said

"Ohh you're the famous striker?" I asked finally noticing who he was

"Yeah, kind of." He said

"People are saying you're like Mozart of football." I said giggling

"They're over exaggerating it. I'm decent" he said and giggled as well. Mr. Jackson looked at us, surprised we are talking because he also knows the system.

"Heard you have a football match today." I said few moments later

"Yeah, I'm a bit nervous but I'll be okay. Are you coming to the match? There's a big party later most of us are going to." He said

"Yeah it's in my house, so I'll be there." I said

"Wait you're organising the party?" he asked surprised

"God no. My sister is." I said

"So I'll see you there. I'll look for you." he said

I kind of shook my head

"I don't know..." I said

"Just give me one chance to be someone to you." He said

"That would mean I'm risking everything I have in here: reputation, trust, position etc. etc." I said and he just looked at me in the eyes.

Dammit, why do I fall for his tricks?

"Fine. You better be worth losing it all." I sigh

"You'll see" he said turning back around and I spent the rest of my class staring at his features from behind.

After my last class I found Simon and said silently so no one can hear me.

"Good luck for the match" I said

"Thanks." He smiled and left to his training. I noticed how tall he actually is. I shake my head and stop thinking about him.

"Hey" Lilly said behind me, I jumped a bit.

"You scared me" I said

"Oops, sorry" she said excited

"You're excited for the party?" I asked

"Yes! We are going to my house to get ready for the party yeah?" she asked

"Why don't we just stay in my house?" I asked

"This is more fun. C'mon let's go" she said dragging me with her.

This is going to be a long night.
