Mystery woke with a start. That was the twenty-ninth nightmare she'd had this month. She let out a quite sob, trying not to wake anyone in the base up. She'd been having the same nightmare for the past three hundred years, actually. She cried silently for a few minutes, then got up and stumbled over to the door.

Allen had be sitting outside the door, invisible simply because he didn't want to be seen. He saw Mystery's dorm room door open, then he saw her faceplant.

She murmured something to herself. Pulling herself up, Mystery looked around the hallway. Frost wasn't in the hall like usual. Whenever Mystery's dorm room door opened, the large dog would tackle her. She shrugged and stood up.

Allen, still sitting still, made no sign that he was there. He glared down at the Archdemon. Thinking she was dead for so long just to discover she was still alive wasn't a pleasant surprise. He was filled with hatred towards her because she was still alive. Mystery had no idea how much grief she'd caused him.

He heard her say, "H-hey... where is everyone? Alex?!"

To her dismay, she got no reply.
