Chapter 32

(Surprise update)

The blinding flash fades leaving torse bleeding and Ana looking exhausted. "We will finish this." Torse says before he disappears. Ana's legs begin to buckle underneath her as Sean runs to catch her. Sean catches his wife Tommy running over to the married pair. "Is she ok?" Tommy asks Sean as the dark skinned young man lifts up his wife carrying her. "She used all her energy." Sean says. "Is that bad?" Tommy asks as Callie runs to Ana demorphing. "Yeah it's bad." Callie says. "Let's head back to base." Steve says. "I'll call medics for my sister." Xander says.

Several hours later Ana lays in her room at gemstrike still unconscious a intravenous line giving fluids in her arm. Her husband holds her hand tightly concern showing on his face. "How is she?" Jon the oldest child asks concern showing for his mom. "She's sleeping right now. They have her on oxygen." Sean says looking at his oldest. "She's gonna be ok. Callie managed to get a little bit of honey water in her." Sean says kissing his wife's forehead smiling when he sees the locket he gave her at the age of 12 before him and Cameron left for a war.

About 4 days later the red headed young woman begins to open her eyes. "Ana!" Sean says. Cameron runs into the room whacking his head on the door frame causing Sean to chuckle. "Is she awake?" Cameron says rubbing his head. "Yeah she's waking up." Sean says turning to his wife. "Don't try to speak yet baby. Here drink." Sean says as he hands a glass of water mixed with honey to her. Ana drinks the glass of water mixed with honey. Sean smiles at her and kisses her forehead helping her sit up. "Mommy!" Amelia says as she rushes to her mom thankful she's ok and out of her deep sleep.
