Jeff's P.O.V.

I sit on my bed, and start silently crying. I know, I'm a wimp, but I can't help it. I lay down, with my mask over my eyes, and try and get some sleep, but it proves a futile attempt, because I just end up being bored. Suddenly, I here a beeping, a sort of...signal...that means Slenderman needs us. I sigh and get really for my next mission. He better not pair me up with BEN.

BEN'S P.O.V.

"Are you kidding me?!" Jeff yells. I don't blame him. He just got assigned a mission with me, and not even a killing one. He has to retrieve an ointment that's made only in Brazil. Slenderman won't even tell us what it's for. It's a two month long mission, and I wish he got assigned to go with someone else.

"Jeffery-" Slenderman says but is cut off by Jeff yelling;

"DON'T call me that. It's Jeff. "

God, all this yelling is making my ears bleed. That's it. I've had enough.

"Guys. Stop fighting. Jeff, listen, I know it sucks. But get over it. I'll go get ready. " he nods, before disappearing.

I head upstairs so I can get ready. I arrive at my door, and open it. I hear muffled sobs, then the door opens just enough to let me inside

"Y-yes?" It's Sally and she's definitely been crying.

"Um...What's wrong?" I ask.

"I heard you fight with Jeff and I know how you feel about him and I don't want to guys to hate each other," I smile, and sit down next to her.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure that never happens. And with that, I leave her in her misery and start packing. I'm confident I'll make things better.

Man this sucks. I told the man I'm crushing on that he's weak, and unwanted. And what makes matters worse is that I know he's completely suicidal. But I guess I shouldn't worry, sense he can't die.

I finish packing my bags, and head down stairs. Once there, I see Slenderman and Jeff walk in. Jeff looks ecstatic, but Slenderman looks very troubled.

"What's up?" When I speak, Jeff's smile disappears. He looks away and walks past me. I sigh and turn to Slenderman so he can tell me.

"Unfortunately, it would appear that Jeff is no longer...immortal."

Everyone freezes. What? How is this possible?! If he's not immortal then he can die. That means he could finally kill himself.

"What?! That's terrible!" I tell. I can practically hear Jeff frown. I turn to him and raise an eyebrow.

"Yes? Something you want to say?" I ask.

"Well, of course you can't be happy for me. Something has finally gone right in my life and you just have to poop on the parade."

"How is This good?!" I yell back. "Why would you want to be able to die?!" He looks at me like I've asked why the sky is blue.

"Well have you ever considered that maybe I want to die?!" He screams. Nobody says anything. I look at him with disbelief. I always knew, but I never expected him to admit it. I look at Slenderman so he can tell me how this happened.

"Well, you see, I injected the wrong liquid into him. I gave him a temporary vial, that can only be injected once, so now I can't ever inject the same thing again. And with Jeff's new found skill, I doubt I could get the chance to inject a permanent serum. And besides, I don't want him complaining all the time. " he says. I just stay quite.

"Ok. Jeff, put on this necklace. It will make you appear in your human form." Slenderman gives Jeff a necklace, and he puts it on. Almost immediately, he begins to change.

His once while skin turns a tan cream color, and his long black hair, gets slightly shorter, and turns brown. His eyelids grow back, and his eyes turn a more softer blue, and not as icy cold, and his scar stitches itself up, into nothingness. To be honest, he looks hot.

"Alright. Let's go. " he says, grabbing his bags. We walk out the door, and head for town. This is going to be a long, awkward, two months.

Jeff's P.O.V.

We head for the airport. I buy our tickets and we head for the waiting area. I hear my stomach growling and wait for it to go away. He looks at me and says;

"Hey, you need something to eat?"

"Not from you." I say coldly. I know I'm being cruel, but I'm aloud to be mad.

"Alright. I'm going to get us something. Chips ok?" I don't say anything back. He sighs and walks away.

He comes back a couple minutes later, with two bags of chips. He hands one to me and I take it. Hey, I still have to eat.

"Thanks..." I mumble. He smiles after hearing my reply. God damn it. Why do I have to be so nice. We eat in silence. Soon the plane arrives, and we board.

When we get to our seats, I buckle up strait away. I sit tensely and lean my head back. To be honest, I hate flying. Always have, always will. He seems to notice, and gently places a hand over mine. I quickly pull away and he frowns.

"You know," he says with sass. "I'm trying to make this work. I'm trying to show how sorry I am, but we can't ever get over this if you don't try too. " I sigh. He has a point. I say nothing.

"Fine. But done expect me to be there for you if you need me. "

"Now, why would I ever need you?" I say. He says nothing in return. I turn my head and look out the window. The plane takes off, and I close my eyes for the first time in years, and take my own advice. I go to sleep.
