"Good morning class." Mrs. Essa, my Ancient History teacher, called as the bell rang. "Today we will be talking about the gods of our world." She smiled brightly and I had to suppress a snort. You see, I'm one of those great gods that rule this world, and I can tell you, we are far from the perfect role models the humans see us as.

"The first god we will be talking about is Egldir, the god of magic, and king of the gods. It is said that he is the one who created the world and all other gods, it is also said that he blesses a few people with great powers, we call these people Sorcerers, and Sorceresses, though those who turn evil are called Witches and Wizards." What's not said about him is that he loves playing pranks, and is the most laid back of us all, but me of course. "The second god we will be talking about is not a god at all, but a goddess. That goddess is Eglidr's wife, Mokdea the goddess of logic. The third and fourth gods we will be talking about are Pamjir, god of the dead, and his wife, Edione, the goddesses of funerals. These are only a few of them others include Tytyx, god of the rivers, Exbum, god of health, Wideon god of war, Nedon god of peace, Zesdall, god of alcohol, Onuna goddess of night," Ahhhhhh Otia, my favorite, mild-mannered but she can be very violent, "and her husband, Tofysus, god of day." Ahhh yes, and there I am. The great god of he sun, the hero who lives to help humans thrive. Apparently, Mrs. Essa didn't think I was paying enough attention.

"Mr

"Mr. Ferno. Do you mind summarizing what I just said?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Egldir, god of magic, king of the gods, really laid back and kinda a joker, husband of Mokdea, goddess of logic. Pamjir, god of the dead, and his wife Edione, goddess of funerals. Tytyx and Exbum, rivers and health. Did you know they're dating? Then there's Wideon and Nedon, war and peace, they get along better than you could probably imagine. Zesdall and Unake, the goddess of music, they started dating around a century ago. Zesdall is the god of Alcohol, and then there's Otia, goddess of night," I noticed the shadows start to thicken in the far corner of the room and keep talking, "she's very beautiful and kind, but when you get her mad she can be as violent as Wideon. She also stands for what she believes in." I stopped when Otia stepped from the shadows.

"Awwww. You flatter me, love." She smirked and walked towards me. I stood up and met her in the middle of the classroom, picking her up and swinging her around. The entire class stood in shock as my form changed, soon I stood there in my true form.

I grabbed my wife's hand and started walking towards the door. Before we left the room, we spun and I smirked at the classes shocked expressions.

"It was nice knowing you guys. Well, not you Matt. You were an asshole." He flinched back and I gave a salute before a column of light came up and swallowed me as Otia melted into the shadows.
