They were out of reach. (First name) was already dating someone, and in addition was one of the most popular students of Fukurodani Academy. Yamato had known the said person since elementary school and had slowly fallen in love with them.
Although Yamato was close with (First name), they were out of reach. One particular day after school, (First name) had stayed back to help Yamato with his homework when (Boy/Girlfriend's name) opened the door. "I fucking knew it! You can't be friends with him if you still wanna be with me!"
(First name) stood up and slapped (Boy/Girlfriend's name). "Then we're over!" (Boy/Girlfriend's name) ran out the room, leaving an awkward silence. "Y-You know you didn't have to do that (First name)." They turned around, showing a huge smile.
"I'd chose you over anyone, Saru!" Yamato smiled as they sat down, pointing at a math problem.
Maybe they weren't out of reach anymore...
