Me and Michael decide to go see Jess and Derek at my old uni. When we get there we see Derek and Jess standing outside and they where talking to someone. I narrow my eyes to try and make out how they where talking to, I could see black hair and a pink strip of hair I finally realise who it was, it was Nathan. I started to tremble in my seat and Michael puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'm here" he said and I started to calm down.
Michael then beeped the horn and Jess turned around and saw us in the car waiting, she dragged Derek away from there talk and rushed from to the car, they climb in finally.
"Ah, 'bout time you two showed up, he's a nightmare to talk to now" Jess said.
"Looked like you where havin' fun" Michael said in a tone voice.
"Yeah right we did, we had no choice but to talk to him, he came up to us" Derek said.
"Yeah, you know every-time he spoke all I could think of is 'your not my friend, your not my friend, your not my friend'" Jess said and I felt a bit of relief.
"Well anyway, let's get a move on" Michael said as he started to drive, a few moment later Jess starts talking to me about the wedding.
"So tell me! Did you pick a date?!" Jess asked.
"Yeah?"
"And!"
"It's the 21st of June" I say with a giggle.
"The first day of summer, so romantic!" Jess squealed.
"Way to go man" Derek said as he patted Michael's shoulder from behind his seat.
"Y-yeah.." Michael said with a reddish face.
Not long after we go to the cafe Olivia worked at. We sat down and instead of Olivia serving us it was a man around our age.
"Hey, I'm Matthew, I'll be taking your orders today"
"Um, where's Olivia?" I ask.
"Oh you know her? She'll be in around 12:15" he said.
"Oh, okay" I say.
"So what would you four like"
"Um I'll have a BLT with water, you wanted a caesar salad with green tea, right Alyssa?" Jess said.
"Yeah, that's right"
"And Derek you wanted churros with a milkshake?"
"Aw, babe you know me so well" Derek said with a smile.
"And Michael you wanted a burger with fries and coke?"
"Yep" Michael said.
"And that's about it thanks"
That's Jess for you, loves to take charge.
"Alright, I'll get that for you right away" he said and he winked at Jess and she cringed. He walks away and we start to talk.
"I don't think I like it here anymore" Derek said with a pout.
"Ah! That guy gives me total cringe" Jess said. I laugh and not long are food arrives, but on jess's plate was a piece of paper and the man winked at her again. When he left Jess opened it.
"What is it?" Michael asked.
"I think it's his phone number" Jess said.
"Wow, I'm speechless" I say.
"The nerve of that guy, hitting on my girlfriend" Derek said with a scary tone in his voice, just then Jess gets up from her seat.
"Jess? What are you doing?" I ask.
"I'm giving the number back and making it clear that I'm not interested" Jess said and before we could stop her she walked up to the guy.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh, you saw it, well?"
"Well I'm sorry but I already have a boyfriend" she said as she gave back the number.
"Well, maybe keep it as a backup in case he dumps you and you wanna cry on someone's shoulder" he said with a despicable smirk.
"Well sorry but I don't think that will ever happen so maybe you wanna take it back" Jess said in a pissed of voice. Just then Matthew grabs jess's hands.
"Hey!"
"Come on if you get to know me I'm sure you'll love me" he said.
"No! Let go" she said.
Just then a Derek walks over to them.
"What are you doing?" Derek said.
"Derek!"
"Who's this anyway where busy" Matthew said.
"Oh, no I think you not" Derek said with a scary look.
"Look man I-"
"You better hand over my girlfriend if you don't wanna be thrown through that window " Derek said as he pointed to the window behind him.
"What are you her boyfriend or something?"
"Yes, I am" Derek said with a tone in his voice.
"O-oh, um..." He then lets go of jess's hands and starts to back away.
"W-well I should be going places to be, people to wait on" he said as he ran off.
Jess then hugged Derek and kissed his cheek.
"My hero" she said and Derek held her tight.
