You stared at the group of boys in front of you. You grit your teeth, trying to prepare yourself. You had been walking through the halls of Wammy's House when one of them had grabbed your wrist, pressing you against the wall. You struggled against him, kicking his shins. But, he was too strong. The others soon joined him, whispering to one another.
Admittedly, you weren't supposed to be out of your room after 11:00 o'clock, and it had been nearly one when you'd arisen for a quick drink. The boys seemed to be waiting for you almost, which made the situation even more undesirable.
Suddenly, a hand was on your hip, trailing up and down. You squeezed your eyes shut and kicked harder, willing your hands against your captors. You were 16, and the boys were your age or slightly older, meaning they weren't exactly innocent.
As you opened your mouth to scream, a large hand covered it. You tried to bite it, but were unable to. Soon, hands were on your waist, nearing your belt. You felt tears sting the back of your eyes as yet another hand trailed along your body.
"Leave her alone!" a male voice echoed throughout the hallway. The boys ran away, a few rebellious ones lurked nearby. You fell to your knees, looking down at your hands. Suddenly, a pair of boots were in your line of vision.
Your head jerked up to make eye contact with a tall and skinny boy, close to your age. He had red-brown hair and a pair of yellow tinted goggles hid his eyes. He was dressed in a red and black striped shirt with dark blue skinny jeans.
He reached a hand down to you, which you gladly took. He easily pulled you into a standing position, despite your shaking legs. You felt yourself almost fall, but he quickly pulled you to his chest. "It's ok to cry," he whispered in the darkness.
You hadn't noticed the silent yet cold tears streaming down your face until you were clutching his shirt as well. You began to sob, hugging him close. He placed his hand on your back, rubbing it occasionally.
You felt your feet leave the ground. You looked down an realized the boy was carrying you to your room. Using his elbow to open the door, he stepped in quietly and laid you down. You pulled the covers up, reluctantly, but felt safer as the unknown boy stood with you. Your eyes felt heavy, and the hand that had been silently holding yours let go. You fell into a slumber with the creak of a door in the background.
You awoke the next morning to the memories of last night flooding back. Jumping out of bed, you dressed in your favorite outfit consisting of skinny jeans, a F/C t shirt, and converse.
You ran to breakfast, where you saw him. He was alone, but a small group of boys were beside him. You timidly walked to him. He was focused on his handheld video game and didn't see you. You stood silently, wringing your hands. He suddenly looked at you.
With a deep breath, you stuck your hand out slightly. He slowly took it, raising a brow you. "I-I'm Y/N L/N. You, uh, saved me last night," she introduced. "Oh! I'm Matt!" he replied, to your surprise pulling you in for a hug.
You blushed as his long arms wrapped around you tightly. You hugged him back, patting his back gently. He pulled back soon after, smiling brightly at you. "Would you like to go out for coffee sometime?" he asked, a light blush dusting his cheeks.
You smiled happily and nodded. He grinned and fist pumped. You giggled at how happy he was. "I'll pick you up at 6," he said, leaning down to place a quick kiss on your cheek. He ran out of the cafeteria as you placed a hand on your cheek with a small smile.
