You giggled as Near imitated Mello, or his version of him, which was apparently a rather feminine criminal. Near sashayed around the room, swaying his hips dramatically. He smiled at you and returned to his sitting position beside you.

A variety of toy robots in various colors were spread out around you. Taking a blue one, you moved his joints, making him say ridiculous things. Near gave a soft laugh before picking up a bright green one, doing the same actions that you had done.

You began to play with him, making the robots have conversations and such. Near smiled as your grin grew.

After roughly two hours of playing, you felt your cheeks flush. You felt as if you were melting. "Are you ok?" Despite the burning of your skin, you nodded. "Why don't you take your jacket off?" he asked. You dismissed the thought and pulled the sleeves over your palms.

You had to keep your secret. Near would freak out if he found out about the scars on your wrist. You sighed and laid down, staring up at the white ceiling. Near looked at you with a raised brow. You gave a small smile and sat back up, starting to unzip your jacket.

You slowly pulled it off, squeezing your eyes shut. Thankfully he didn't notice your arms. He looked at you inquisitively, but dismissed it and continued to play. Suddenly, a weight pressed against your side.

With a squeal, you fell over. Near looked down at you with a small smirk. You blushed furiously as he placed his hands gently on your sides. He began to tickle you furiously, making you laugh.

You continued to giggle even after he stopped. He chuckled and sat back in his spot. You panted and spread yourself out in a snow angel type position. He smiled at your peaceful expression. You saw his smile fade slowly.

"What happened to your wrist?" he asked, taking it in his hands. You blushed furiously and pulled it away, sitting up quickly. "Nothing," you muttered. "Tell me, please," he said, staring into your eyes. You looked away and scrambled to stand up.

"I-it was nothing. I have go. See you later," you rushed before sprinting down the hall into your room. You closed the door behind you and jumped face first onto your bed. You felt tears drip down your cheeks as you sat up, hugging your knees to your chest. "He wasn't supposed to see them.." you whispered.

"But I did," a calm voice said from the doorway. Your head jerked up, and you hastily wiped away your tears. "Just tell me what happened," he said quietly, sitting beside you on the bed. "I-it's nothing really," you said, avoiding his gaze.

"You have depression, don't you?" he asked monotonously. You looked at him, shocked. But you slowly nodded nonetheless. "And you participated in self harm?" he asked. You felt hot tears drop from your rosy cheeks. A pair of arms wrapped around you.

Typically, you would have pushed whoever was hugging you away, but this time, you went limp in Near's arms. You sobbed uncontrollably into his shoulder, allowing him to caress your back softly.

"Shh, you have me," he whispered. You clung to him, and he held you tightly in return. You felt a reassurance you never had, and it made you regret those cuts on your wrist. "I'm sorry," you whispered, pulling back.

"For what?" he asked, looking genuinely confused. You simply gestured to yourself, looking down. Suddenly, Near leaned forward and pecked your cheek. Your head shot up, a red blush covering your cheeks.

He himself blushed and adjusted his sitting position. "Don't apologize for perfection," he mumbled. You couldn't believe how "emotional" the stoic and monotone Near was being. "N-Near, I'm not perfect. I'm no where near it!" you said quickly. "Don't lie, YN." he replied with a slight smile.

"Maybe we could hang out.. in town tomorrow to get your mind off this?" he said quietly, twisting his fingers. "Near, are you asking me out?" you asked with a smirk as you wiped your eyes and cheeks. A blush formed on the smaller boy's cheeks. "Y-you could say that," he replied. "I'd love to, Near. Thank you."
