"Im Yoona! Come here you!" I used the 5 mins of break given by coach Lee in a real wise way, which by dragging my friend with me into one of the corner side where not so many people around there and 'interrogating' her.
"Yah, what's with the dragging, Tiffy?" Yoona tried to break herself free from my grip.
"You talked with Taeyeon unnie?" i asked try to sound as normal as i could.
"Oh yes i did! You know when we all run, she coincidentally run toward my direction and end up standing beside me." She answered cheerfully like a fangirl.
"Uh.. why you looked so happy about that?" I raised one of my eyebrows in questioning manner.
"What? Can't i be happy?" She asked back still with a smile on her face.
"I'm just feel glad to talked with Taeyeon unnie earlier and get the chance to know her better. She was nothing like The Kim Taeyeon we met in the orientation days. No death glare, no cold tone in her voice, no scary aura around her. She's actually very friendly and kind." she adds.
"Ah good for you then." I said (somehow) rather coldly.
"Wait, why did i sense a sarcasm in your voice?"
"No, i didn't use any sarcasm." i deny.
"Yes you did."
"No, i didn't."
"Yes, you did Hwang!"
"I said i didn-"
*prit prittt* we heard a whistle and halted our movement and talk.
"In circle!" Coach Lee beckoning us to come forward and gather in the middle of the basketball court, and at the same time stopping the silly argument between Yoona and i.
"let's do a warming up. let's running around this basketball court. 3 laps. GO!"

Done with the warming up. i can see most of us are panting hard, trying to catch our breath. while some of us still have a calm composure on their face. by saying some, Kim Taeyeon included. and why do i know? because like always, i'm doing my new hobby right now which is stealing glance at her. i'm creepy right? i know. *sigh*
"let's play a game now. i'll divided you into teams and later each team will go against each other, okay? i'll just pick it randomly." coach Lee said.

And the result is..
Team A: Bomi (grade 12), Nana (grade 11), Taeyeon (grade 11), Eunji (grade 12), Suzy (grade 10). Team B: Hyoyeon (grade 11), Sooyoung (grade 11), Chorong (grade 11), Hayoung (grade 10), Namjoo (grade 10). Team C: Me (grade 10), Yoona (grade 10), Naeun (grade 10), Hyuna (grade 11), Hara (grade 12).
my team considered lucky because we got 'bye' in the drawing. it means we are directly go to the 'final' since the total team is in odd number. Team A will meet team B, and the winner will go to the final and compete with team C.
now the first match begins..
they get ready to do the jump-ball (situation when one player from team A, and one player from B, stand inside the small circle in the center of the court. usually each team will send out their tallest member since the players in jump-ball will face against each other to get the ball. the referee will throw the ball high up in the air, and let the two players to jump as high as they can to get the ball.)
from team A, they sent Nana unnie, while in team B they sent Sooyoung unnie. guess both are center in their team. (center is one of 5 positions for basketball player in one team. center have a main duty to do the rebound, catching the bounced out balls, both when in offense and or defense, and also do blocking since usually the player who played in center position will have a tall and big body.)
the ball has been thrown to the air by coach Lee, and both of Nana and Sooyoung jump almost at the same time, but it's Nana's hand who touched the ball first. she pushed the ball toward her front, Suzy saw the ball coming toward her and quickly grab opportunity and get the ball first. seeing that situation, all of the players from team B running back to their side knowing the ball is in the opponent's hand, and stay in their defense position, hands on knees.
Suzy calmly dribble the ball for awhile, scanning her surroundings before she passed the ball to Taeyeon. Seeing that, Hayoung moves to the front with her stretched out hands, trying to block Taeyeon's way. while Namjoo stand close around Suzy, guiding her just in case she make any dangerous movement. Taeyeon starts to quicken her pace while coolly dribbing the ball, trying to walk passed Hayoung. Bomi following her closely from her behind, while Nana and Eunji keep running in and out the 3-seconds circle, to distract the rival's defense, also at the same time waiting for an opportunity. Taeyeon suddenly passed the ball in a very fast speed to Eunji, and Eunji nicely catch it. Eunji tried to infiltrate the blocking from Hyoyeon and Chorong, and she seems realize that it's impossible to make a breakthrough. so she hugged the ball, keep it safely in her embrace, before take a step back with only one foot moves, while the another stay on its position, she spin her body a little and soon she saw Bomi running, approaching her while her hands open wide, asking for the ball. Eunji passed it to Bomi, and Bomi make a very impressive move, she run and successfully run passed through Namjoo, and do a lay-up. unfortunately, the ball hits the edge of the ring, and bounced out. Nana saw that and jump just in time to catch the ball. she do a rebound and, goal in! first 2 points for team A. seeing that, Taeyeon, Suzy, Bomi and Eunji immediately running back toward their area, and ready on their defense position. Nana too after knowing the ball successfully get inside the ring, she run back toward her team area and find her position in the middle. Hyoyeon gets the ball and start to approaching her opponent's area with her ally, ready to make a counter attack. "bring it on!" she shouts, and causing her friends, even the opponent team to smile at her spirit.
"oh gosh, they are look so cool!" Naeun squealed like a hardcore fangirl.
"yeah, they play like a pro." Yoona joined in.
"they are a pro, Yoona-yah." Naeun said again.
"what do you mean?" now i also join them.
"Don't tell me you guys didn't know? oh my God! our female basketball team is quite famous in town. they always have a good reputation for years and have won so many thropies in many competition. look at them! don't you realize their skill yet? the main team are the seniors who's playing in front of us right now. people usually called them with 'the big 5'. Nana unnie and Sooyoung unnie, both can be the center but if in defense, the two will become 2 towers who supported each other and protecting the ring from enemy's attack. it's so damn hard to walk pass through the two tower's defense or win the ball rebound if the two are pressing close between you. Hyoyeon unnie and Bomi unnie, both are the best in infiltrating enemy's area. Hyoyeon unnie is more into direct physical attack, while Bomi unnie more into swift movement and agility but once both of them working together in 'messing up' the enemy's area, surely they will get too overwhelmed in taking care the two troublemakers. and Kim Taeyeon, she's the brain. She's the one who's controlling the tempo of the team play. since she's a playmaker (another position for basketball player. usually have the great ability in dribbling the ball, controlling the ball, playing it, like do passing and other tricks/distractions, and also good in making strategy for the team.) even though she's the shortest among them, she and Bomi unnie are the fastest runner in the team. And those two understand each other best in the court. there were times when the two of them worked together to make the impossible, possible. they can communicate by looking at each other eyes. just one look, and they can understand what the another means. and Taeyeon unnie also a great 3-point-shooter. It's safe to say, out of 10 balls she throw from outside the 3 point line, 8 of them will get inside the basketball ring. and even when the other 2 balls didn't get in, it will be handle by the two towers. i have seen them play so many times before, and they never failed to amaze me. together, the 5 of them are seems unbeatable."
just another reason to adore you more, Kim Taeyeon.

*knock knock*
"Excuse us, Mrs Shin. We have an announcement to make. It won't be long i promise." Hearing this familiar voice, i immediately shot my head up and look at my front. There she is. Looking beautiful as always. Stunning. Today she tied her hair into a ponytail. we all wearing the same school uniform and yet i find she looks way more attractive compare to the rest 'resident' in this school in that uniform.
"Oh, Taeyeon. Sure. Come in." Mrs Shin warmly welcoming her.
"Hi 10 graders. Sorry for interrupting your class. I'm Kim Taeyeon and this is my friend, Park Chorong. We have something to announce to you. Next 2 week our school will hold an event called English Day on Friday. That day will be fun since no classes at all." *loud cheering from the juniors* Taeyeon can only smile seeing the happy faces in front of her before she speaks again,
"It'll be full with interesting performances from clubs in our school, and also competitions with prizes. and we're gonna use English all day because the main purpose of that event is to make us improve our English skill. But i promise the event will be fun so don't worry be happy. *grin* I was assigned by our english teacher, Mr Jo and also our headmaster, Mr Baek to be the Project Manager of the event and i choose my friend beside me here, Park Chorong to be my Vice PM. Now we need 10 more people from grade 10 to work together with us by becoming the committee for that event. The deadline for signing up is kind of short which is the day after tomorrow, 2 PM sharp. And if the participants are over 10 persons, we're gonna make a quick selection from the form you're gonna fill in if you have an interest to be the committe. You can come to me or Chorong in the lunch break time to ask for the registration form. We'll be around the school canteen or inside our class which is 11-1. I think that's all. Is there any question?"
"What are the positions available in those 10 vacant seats?" One of my classmates asked.
"Good question. I was waiting for any of you to ask that. *chuckles* What's your name?" Taeyeon asked her.
"Shin Hye. Park Shin Hye."
"Okay. Anyway you look alike one of our senior, Park Eun Hye. Are you two siblings or something?" Taeyeon looks so cute with that curious face of her. Can i pinch her cheek? Gosh! Get a grip, Tiffany Hwang! You start talking nonsense right now!
"Yes, actually she is my chin (biological) eonnie." Shinhye answered while smiling.
"Ah that's why. Well, for your question. I would like to explain it to you but i don't think it will be done just in few minutes and i don't want to disturbing Mrs Shin's teaching time for too long. You can come to me later, Shin Hye-ah. I'll explain it to you in details. Not only Shin Hye. Any of you, if you still have question regarding this event, just come to me later in the break time. Okay?"
"Ne~" we answered.
"Good. Is there anything else you want to add before we leave, Chorong-ah?" Taeyeon asked her friend.
"No, i think that's all. Besides we still have 2 more classes to visit. We better hurry up before the break time bell ring." Chorong answered with her cute little voice.
"Okay."
"Thank you for the time given, Mrs Shin. And we apologized for distrubing your class." Taeyeon and Chorong said while bowing to our history teacher before leaving the class.
English day huh? If it's about English, as a Cali girl, i shouldn't just sit back and do nothing about it, right?
