SasuNaru • It Was Never Enough

Chapter 1

Naruto was watching some boring programs on the television when he heard a click sound of the door being shut. He straightened out his back, leaning to the couch.

"Naruto I'm ho-"

"Where were you this whole day? Why I can't reach you, at all?"

Sasuke looked so tired and he wasn't up for any of the arguments that Naruto was about to start but not that the blonde would care about that right?

He fished the phone out his pants and sighed. So that's why he didn't received any calls or texts today.

"My battery's dead."

"Yeah right. Or you purposely did that because you don't want anyone to bother your sweet time with your new boyfriend?" Naruto scoffed at the lame answer Sasuke was giving because he definitely didn't believe it.

"What kind of nonsense are you rambling now, Naruto?" Sasuke asked as he rubbed his temple. Sensing a headache coming soon. "Can we do this later? Let me, at least freshened up first alright?"

"No, I want to do this now. You always find excuses when I wanna talk to you isn't it?" Naruto demanded. He glared at Sasuke, fully aware that Sasuke hates to be glare at especially by him.

"Fine, whatever you say. I'm all ears. Go on Naruto, talk."

Naruto didn't waste for any seconds as he quickly said, "Your attitude right now pissed me off. Did I do something wrong that you had to find someone else to replace me?"

Sasuke almost facepalm but he didn't. Instead, he moves closer to where Naruto was sitting and he took the seat next to him. "There's nobody, I thought I already told you that didn't I?"

"Then what are you doing behind my back yesterday? Let's me answer that for you, teme! You cheated on me, with that son of a b-" Naruto stood up and he went to the balcony, walking back and forth. When he was cut by Sasuke, he glared at the raven again.

"Naruto don't you even dare to say it. I warn you, it's not like what you think or saw. Plus, you don't even need to know about it because I know what am I doing right now."

"What the hell? Since when it's not even my business? We practically shared everything in the past so what's wrong in me wanting to know whatever you're up to?"

"Because you don't need to know anything! How many times do I have to tell you to stay out of my matters for GOD SAKE!" Sasuke finally lose his patience out of this one and he regrets it soon. He knew how scared the blonde was whenever someone screamed at him.

"Teme..."

"Naruto..." Sasuke tried to reach for Naruto yet he retreated even far from him.

"You've changed, since he came back into your life." Naruto's expression turned sad. He didn't want to say that but he got no choice.

Naruto turned his back from Sasuke and headed to the entrance.

"Naruto where are you going? You said that we needed to talk?" Sasuke called, without any emotion.

"No, I'm done talking. Your silence is enough, teme because I get it. I'm the only one who've been believing that we had something special yet it's not."

"Naruto... I'm sorry. Hey, I didn't mean to yell at you. Please, don't leave me."

Naruto was battling with himself, half of him wants to forgive the latter but the other half don't, giving warning that he might regret it but he shook it off. "Fine."

Sasuke pulled Naruto into his embrace, breathing in Naruto's scent. "Thank you Naruto."

"I forgave you but that doesn't mean that I'm staying here. I heading out, I need some fresh air."

"Then I'll come with you." The raven suggested, as if he didn't believe Naruto to go out on his own.

Naruto shook his head while stopping the latter, "Don't teme because I don't want to have another fight with you outside."

It was hard for Sasuke to give in but he had to do so, both of them needed time to clear their minds anyway.

"Two hours Naruto, if you didn't come back then I'm tracking you down."

"I love you teme."

And the door shuts down, without Naruto even get to hear Sasuke's reply, if he did responded to Naruto's confession.

Naruto felt like crying, but he held it in while dialling someone's number. After a few beeping sounds, the caller answered his call.

"Sakura chan, are you free right now?"
