Jesus = Love

No matter who you are, what you've done or said he will never stop loving you. Isn't that amazing! We can be the biggest stuff up the world has ever known and he still loves us, we can sin sin sin and sin some more and he still loves us.

His love never fails and his love never gives up. His love never gives up on us. His love never runs out either. He loves us all equally and so much more than we can ever imagine. Nothing can separate us from his love and Romans 8:37-39 tells us that.

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

He loves us so much that he sent his son to die such a brutal death for us. And not only did he send his son but he sent his absolutely perfect son to die for us. Jesus had done nothing wrong. He had never sinned. God sent that guy to die on the cross for us, for our sins and for our freedom and our life.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Romans 5:8 "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Isn't that amazing love. It's unconditional, even though we were sinners he still loved us. He still loved us enough to send his perfect child to die brutally on a cross.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

So I think now that we know of the great love he has for us we need to share his love. In the bible Jesus tells us...

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

Just as he loves us we are to love one another. Now loving everybody doesn't mean that you have to be friends with everybody. I think that sometimes as Christians we think we're obliged to be friends absolutely everyone but the thing is you don't have too.

Jesus was very selective in his friends. He had the twelve disciples and even then later on in his life his closest friends and real friends dwindled down to three!

I think in life our friends have the most influence in our lives other then our parents maybe (and hopefully Jesus). So it's okay to be very selective and picky when it comes to choosing friends. It's okay because you don't want to be hanging out in a crowd that doesn't help you in your walk with God. Oh but Alex I can reach out to these people and help them see God...

You don't have to be friends with people to do that. You can be another face in their lives that gives them a smile and shows them love. Show them a light that they've never seen before.

Jesus shows us that you don't have to be friends with everybody. But! Yes, there's the but.

You have to love everybody. Love them how you love yourself. Love them with God's love.

The never failing love, the never ending love and the unconditional love.
