Reagan's POV

I had to walk home. Cameron didn't know that I left. I wasn't going to text him, and have him leave his party, just because I was almost forced into doing it. No big deal.

Neil's house is far away from mine, but there wasn't really any turns, or busy roads on the way. So I could map out the area easily.

I started walking back home, in hopes that there wasn't any bad weather coming my way.

I was still walking home after about 45 minutes. It was getting really chilly, and all I had was a light jacket, and that wasn't even helping.

I felt a little drop of water on the of my head. Then another and then another. Great! Just my luck.

My phone vibrated.

I looked down at the text message from Cameron.

From Cam: Where are you? I'm worried sick.

To Cam: I left the party. Sam almost made me do it with him. I'm traumatized. And now it's raining, and I'm trying to find my way home.

From Cam: Where are you? I'm coming to get you. Stay right where you are.

To Cam: I'm at the corner of Maple and Main. Please hurry.

That was that, I went to the park bench that was at the corner of the streets. I sat down, and pulled my knees to my chest, hoping to become a little warmer.

It didn't really work, I was still freezing. And by now, it was pouring.

•••

Cameron still wasn't here. Until I saw headlights coming down the street. I recognized Cameron's car. He pulled to the side of the road, and got out of the car. He ran over to me, and pulled me straight into a embrace. I held onto him so tightly, I never wanted to let go. I started crying.

"I was almost used Cameron!" I sobbed. "I've never been more humiliated in my entire life. I'm scared that he's going to try it again, if I go to another party, and he's there." While still in the hug, he tried calming me down.

"Shh. It's going to be okay, Reagan. You don't need to worry anymore. I took care of Sam once you told me what happened. He's gonna regret doing that to you." Cameron rubbed up and down my back. "After all, you are the best friend I ever had. I can tell that you care about me, and I care about you."

I looked up straight into Cameron's eyes. He started smiling. I smiled too, for the first time tonight.
