Chapter 1

Zoe's POV

''Okay bye mum, bye dad, see you when you get home'' I said as my parents left for their holiday. It was official, for two whole weeks I would be in this big house all by myself. I was quite excited yet scared at the same time, this would be the longest I've been on my own. ''Bye honey'' the both said leaving the house with their suitcases.

My name is Zoe Carley, I'm 19 years old and live in Mullinger in Ireland. I have long brown hair and brown eyes, my favourite colour is blue and my favourite band is Green Day. I'm not your typical girly girl but I'm not a tom boy, I'm more rocky, but not over the top rock, like I don't wear studded black boots up to my thigh but I like rock music.

My best friend is Samantha, or Sam for short, she is like the exact same as me except her eyes are blue, when we go out and meet new people they think we're sisters, we're so alike. We're also so close, we're always with each other, unless one of us are on holiday, which, just my luck, Sam is just now so I have to be lonely for two weeks.

Don't get me wrong I have other friends but I'm not so close to them, I just hang about with them sometimes or at weekends when we go out.

I was sitting on the couch watching my favourite film; Perks of Being a Wallflower with loads and loads of sweets and juice, don't judge; I love food, I swear I am so surprised I'm not obese with the amount of food I eat.

I was texting a boy I used to be friends with, but we text in secret because our families have been arguing for a while now, but it didn't stop us being friends.

him: Hey, how've you been? I haven't heard from you in a while x

me: I know, I've been alright but I'm all alone for 2 weeks, how are you? When are you back in Ireland? We should meet up one day, I haven't saw you in almost a year x

him: Yeah I've been great and I leave London tonight so I should be there later on, and I know, how about tomorrow or the next day? And where's your mum and dad? x

me: Aw that's good, you'll get to see your parents :) And they're going on holiday and didn't even invite me. Yet they trust me in this house all by myself for 2 weeks hahahaha and yeah that's fine, just text me x

him: Aw, and I know, you'll end up burning the place down or flooding it hahaha, and sure, will do x

me: I wouldn't put it past me x

him: Okay I gotta go finish packing, text you later x

me: Bye x

I slumped on the couch, quite excited about meeting up with my old best friend. It was gonna be so great, we used to be so close, like even closer than me and Sam, we'd go on holday together since our families were so close. We were always at each other's houses and everything. There wasn't a day we weren't together; until that dreaded day 4 and a half years ago.
