Zoe's POV

"Long time no see Zoe Carley" Anthony said. I shivered. Niall was giving me that 'who is he?' Look. Niall never knew about our relationship. Niall was jut after going to England for his audition when we started dating. By the time Niall and I had got back In touch I had broke up with Anthony. Back to the point. Anthony was standing there waiting for an answer from me. "Excuse me I think your mistaken us for someone else" Niall said. "No, Niall, he's not. This is Anthony. My ex-boyfriend" I corrected him. "Oh right, hi Anthony." I still didn't make any contact with Anthony. He kinda got the point that I didn't want to talk to him and went to the counter to get food. I guess. "What was that all about?" Niall asked. "It doesn't matter can we just leave? Please?" I replied shakily. "Yeah of course, are you okay?" Niall sounded worried. If I told him what happened between me and Anthony he would be mad at me for not telling him sooner. "Can we just go, quick?" I asked. "Yeah, yeah c'mon" Niall said while taking our food with him.

Nothing really happened on the walk back to nialls house. Niall just kept on asking me why I wanted to leave so suddenly. I just told him that I would tell him later. When we reached nialls house, I got a shower and changed into my pyjamas. Niall did the same.

"Zoe?" Niall asked. "Yeah?" "Why did you just want to leave when Anthony arrived?" Once again Niall sounded really worried. "Oh ynow it's just kinda awkward being in the same place as an ex-boyfriend." I lied. "Zoe I know you most of my life and I know when your lying, please tell me" "I-I can't" I stumbled. "Yes you can Zoe you can tell me anything you know that" his kind words made me feel safe and warm. "Well Anthony ehm he ynow he ehm abused me.." I told him. "Oh Zoe, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Nialls voice was filled with warmth and sadness. "I don't know, I know I should of, I just couldn't." I said while the tears started to trail down my face. Niall pulled me into a tight hug. I sobbed into his shoulder. I felt horrible. I felt useless. I felt unwanted.

"Zoe you don't deserve anyone who would do that to you, you are one very special girl, one very beautiful girl, one very intelligent and independent girl. Zoe I don't know if you already know this but since we were 13 years old, I'm in love with you. I can't hold it I'm any longer. I really really like you Zoe." Nialls words melted my heart like chocolate.

"I really like you too Niall" I said.

"Well, Zoe, would you like to maybe be my girlfriend?" Niall asked me. "Niall I really would love to but what would our parents think. They hate each other. How can we be in a relationship while our families hate each other?" I replied still sobbing quietly. "Don't worry about them, as long as we have each other we will be okay" Niall leaned in and kissed me. This was the first proper kiss me and Niall ever shared. I loved it.

"I guess well just have to hide our love" Niall said.
