"So, Melaine, when did you get here?" Kai asked as we began to wander around.
"I've been here for two days. How about yourself?"
"Only just came." Kai explained. I didn't answer, I was studying Melain's face.

She was quite cute; round face, her cheeks and over her nose plastered with freckles, large rimmed glasses. She had bright green eyes, and light ginger hair. She was quite short. About 5'3 or so.

I snapped out of my short trance when Kai tapped me on my shoulder. I turned to face him.
"What?" I blinked.
"You were daydreaming." He chuckled.
"Sorry." I quickly apologised.

We had been walking across the playing field for about fifteen minutes. We were heading to explore the bushes at the end, because we're such big kids.

I furrowed my eyebrows slightly when we came up to the forest. There didn't seem to be a fence behind it; and it had a small path which didn't seem noticeable at first, because of all the low leaves.

"What's down there?" I asked myself, but I accidentally said it aloud.

"Don't know. Go look." Kai suggested. I turned to face him, and he had his arms crossed over his chest.

I glared at him.
"How about you go in?" I said, mimicking him by crossing my arms over my chest. He shook his head.
"I, uh, I'm not interested in this shit. I don't even know why I'm here..." He tried to defend his masculinity, but I laughed softly at him.
"You're not leaving." I told him. He pursed his lips, and I turned around to see Melaine bent down towards the entrance and beginning to make her way through.

Just as she got herself halfway through the leaves, a bell went. That must have been the end of the lectures for the day.
"Guys, come on, everyone's coming out of lectures now, we're not even meant to be on the field. Let's just go back to mine and Kai's dorm." I insisted. I tugged at Melaine's shirt, to get her out. She groaned softly.
"Fine." She grumbled.

I laid on my bed, talking to Melaine. We were predicting what was within the forest.

"Maybe an abandoned house." Melaine suggested.

"I doubt it." I mumbled.

There was a knock on the door, and Kai entered the room. "Hey." He smiled. He continued to walk in, and sat down on the bed.

We continued to predict what was beyond the forest, some predictions were as stupid as Narnia being there.
