Sirius and Remus often placed bets on whether Lily would finally go out with James or not. Remus believed she'd come around and Sirius didn't. One day during herbology Sirius caught Lily staring at James and blushed when she saw Sirius was looking. Sirius hastily withdrew his bet after that.
