We started classes today. My first class didn't tlstart until 10:00. I woke up at 8:30 so I have a bit of time until I have to leave. I do my makeup, get dressed, fix my hair and eat breakfast and then make sure I have my music and my instrument and make sure there's a pencil in my case. I play the french horn so I stick a pencil in the little mouthpiece holder in the case since there's two of them.
I end up leaving my room at 9:45. My first class is music theory. My worst class in highschool. Since this is just a summer camp we don't have a lot of classes. A lot of is just rehearsal.
After music theory, which was super easy today, I have auditions to try out for orchestra. I've never been in an orchestra before but we are playing some really cool pieces.
Auditions went good. I think I made orchestra. But I won't find out until later. There's a meeting tonight in the auditorium letting us know what band we made.
I get a call from Michael.
"Hey Marissa. Can I talk to you?"
"Sure..." I say a little worried.
"I think I cheated on you..." he says.
"You what?" I yell.
"I was drunk and this girl started flirting with me and she kissed me and I let her. It was only a kiss Marissa. I swear." He explains.
"How could you do that? Why were you drinking in the first place?" I yell.
"There was a party and I decided to go. She kissed me though. I don't even know her name. She kissed me and I was too drunk to realize it. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let her. I've made a huge mistake." He's basically begging for forgiveness. I started crying so I hung up. I was so heart broken. And I still had the rest of the day to go through. I decided to talk to Emma. She would understand. She's the only friend I have here.
"He cheated on me." I explained. "He was drunk and some girl kissed him and he let her." I'm surprised I got that much out without crying.
"I'm sorry. I know its hard." Emma says. "But you have to forgive him. If he says she kissed him first than thats probably what happened. Just forgive him."
"Just like that? Is it that easy?" I ask.
"It sure is. After all, the girl kissed him first and he was drunk so she took advantage of him." She tells me.
She was right. That girl did take advantage of him. I'll call him later though. Right now I have to go to that meeting. I go to my dorm and clean up a bit though because I messed up my makeup from crying.
So the meeting went alright and I made orchestra and rehearsal starys tomorrow at 8 am. After the meeting I met up with Emma and we went out to get some food. While we are out, I decided to call Michael and tell him that I forgive him.
"Hello? Marissa?" He says when he answers.
"Michael I need to talk to you." I say in a stern voice. I'm still trying not to cry because I'm not completely sure if it was just a kiss but Emma did make a good point.
"Sure. Go ahead." He says relaxed.
"I've decided to forgive you. I believe what you said and I'm going to forgive you."
"Really? Thank you Marissa. I love you." He says sounding relieved.
"I love you too." I hang up the phone. I didn't wanna talk anymore. I'm still mad at him. But I believed what he said.
After we eat, we head back to the dorms. I take a shower and braid my hair so I won't have to do much with it in the morning. I brush my teeth and text Emma.
Me: Michael hasn't texted me yet. I thought he would've by now."
Emma: don't worry about it. He will text you soon. Just go to bed. You have a long day tomorrow. So do I.
Me: alright. Goodnight Emma.
Emma: goodnight Marissa.
