Clouds press in.
Darkness.
Loneliness.
I feel adrift.
Disconnected.
Rejected.
Just when it seems that no one is there,
No one cares,
I see your hand, reaching, reaching, out to me.
When the night is blackest, you are there for me.
When I feel unseen, you still care for me.
Even when I feel unlovely, you love me.
When my heart is sinking low, you lift me.
Hold me close, and wipe away my tears.
The only one who never abandons, you are always near.
You love me when I don't love myself.
You show me hope when I have no one else.
Draw me back to the sun again.
Breathe new life into my night again.
I love you as I can love no other.
My dearest friend, who is closer than a brother.
