Chapter Zero✨

Alix's POV

This is it! We're finally going on the class camping trip today!! I'm so stoked I packed all my stuff weeks ago. It's only like 6 am but the campsites a long drive so my dad just dropped me off at school, which is where the busses will pick us up.

"Alright class!" The teacher started, "boys please line up in front of bus one, and girls in front of bus two."

Ugh. Why does everything have to be separated by gender?

I lined up in front of the mini school bus thing that would be driving the girls, and we got on. I ended up sitting next to Myléne, and in front of us were Marinette and Alya. The beginning of the ride was quiet, but then Adrien tweeted something and all the girls went ballistic. Marinette and Alya turned to face Myléne and I who were sitting minding our business.

"Did you see what Adrien posted! He said he's excited for the trip! Isn't that just adorable! Uh, that he's excited, not his face.. What who said that?" Marinette panicked as she tried to cover up her 'secret' love for Adrien, that we all knew about. Except Adrien, cause let's face it- he's a nice dude and all but he's pretty dumb.

"Marinette are you gonna talk about Adrien this whole ride? Cause if you are I'm gonna need to find those earbuds." I explained with a bored tone.

"What? No I'm not why would you think that? Myléne, how's Ivan?" She quickly changed the subject, while Alya laughed.

"Oh, he's just wonderful!" She began happily, while I sighed and crossed my arms. "He took me out to lunch the other day, then we went to the movies, then-"

"Are boys the only thing you guys talk about?" I questioned impatiently.

"Yes!" They answered in unison and I groaned.

"What about you, Alix, any special guys in your life?" Alya asked with a wink.

"Nope, I fly solo." I stated coolly.

"What about Kim?" Marinette asked in a teasing tone.

I laughed out loud. "No you got it wrong. Kim is my bro, it is not like that!"

"Aw but you guys would be so cute together!" Myléne sighed dreamily.

"Sorry to disappoint, but Kim and I will never be anything more than best friends." I explained for good. They all seemed to get the message, and thankfully stopped shipping us.

The rest of the ride was pretty lame. The girls continued to talk about boys, and I listened to music and looked out the window, cause I couldn't care less.

Once we finally arrived, the teacher assigned groups that we would be sharing the tent with.

"Alix will be with.. Marinette and Alya" great. Now I'll get to listen to them talk about Adrien's hair for an entire weekend.

Once we set everything up it was already starting to get dark. Everyone was meeting up at the camp fire before bed, but before I left I texted my dad and brother goodnight. When I got out there to meet everybody there was barely any seats left! My only options were next to Chloe, or next to Nathanael, and I am not sitting next to Chloe.

"Sup Nathanael, care if I sit?" I asked gesturing to the available seat to the right of him. He nodded and scooched over on the bench.
