Samantha Nightshade.
A simple name for a simple girl.
Or so everyone thought.
When she was a newborn her parents died. She was always told that her mother died giving birth to her and her father died in a car accident when she was six months old, but what she wasn’t told was that her parents were killed by Death Eaters about a year after Voldemort disappeared. When she turned eight she found something odd, two red pea-sized holes in the middle of her neck. She always believed in the supernatural, witches and wizards, werewolves, vampires, and mermaids. Many people called her crazy, the other kids in the orphanage called her a freak but she didn’t cry about it, she never had a connection with them anyway. Soon after she found the holes she began to see changes within her, her eyes changed from brown to purple and her hair changed color depending on her mood. The owner of the orphanage shut her up in a room because she believed that Samantha was just as everyone said: a freak. It soon became routine for the owner to set a glass of animal blood outside of her room every night and the glass would be completely clean in the morning. It remained that way until the summer after she turned ten when a woman by the name of Narcissa Malfoy came in to adopt a ‘special’ child that she had heard about.
She adopted young Samantha and took her to the manor where she was greeted by an un-amused blonde man and a platinum blonde boy that couldn’t have been much older than her. She wasn’t told anything until August twenty-fifth when she received a letter, her Hogwarts letter. Narcissa explained to her that she was a witch, not only that but she was a half breed, in her case a cross between a witch and a vampire. Seems simple enough right? Wrong.
Because our story has only begun.
