Samantha’s POV
Two months ago I was adopted by Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, or as I call them now mum and father; I have a brother too, Draco Malfoy, or as I call him Drake. I got a letter yesterday from this school called Hogwarts and mum told me that I was a witch and a vampire. This actually makes sense because things always happened when I was upset; not to mention the holes on my neck. But you don’t have a proper description of me, I’m 4’2, I have dark brown hair that falls to the middle of my back, dark brown skin, purple eyes, and fangs at night. I was sitting in my room thinking everything over when Draco walked in.
“Samantha get your cloak, father says he’s taking us to Diagon Alley to get our school things.” He said walking over to me.
“How many times do I have to tell you, Drake, call me Sam not Samantha; I know we can’t associate with each other in school but you could at least act like I’m your sister.” I said sighing and rolling my eyes. According to father, we’re not allowed to talk to each other during the school year because he thinks it’ll make our family ‘look bad’ if a Slytherin is associating with someone outside of Slytherin house. But I know Draco won’t stay away from me, he protects me more than mum does.
“Sorry Sam, just grab your cloak and let’s go, father hates waiting.” He said turning to walk out. I went over to my wardrobe, grabbed my cloak, walked out of my room, and down the stairs.
“It’s about time you came down Samantha, I was about to have one of the house elves go up and get you.” Father said leaning against the fireplace and crossing his arms. If it wasn’t obvious already, father doesn’t like me, at all. He didn’t want to adopt me, actually mum had to beg him to adopt me saying that ‘a young girl of our kind shouldn’t be left alone’.
“Sorry father.” I replied putting my cloak on.
“Since you haven’t used floo powder before Draco will be going with you.” He half snarled; I nodded and Draco grabbed my arm. We walked over to the fireplace and Draco grabbed a handful and walked into the fireplace with me alongside him.
"Diagon Alley,” he called and threw the powder down. We stepped out of the fireplace and I looked around, we were in a place where the walls were lined with books.
“This is Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore here in Diagon Alley.” He said taking my hand in his and almost growling as he looked across the store.
“Drake, what is it?” I asked following his gaze.
“It’s the Weasels, Potter, and Granger.” He said growling as he looked over again. I followed his gaze and saw a brown haired girl, a raven haired boy with a lightning scar, and seven red headed people. I guess they felt us looking at them or something because they all turned and looked at us; a red headed girl about my age and the brown haired girl smiled at me so I smiled back.
“What’s so bad about them?” I asked looking at Draco.
“I’ll tell you when we get home.” He said and sighed.
“Right now it may be important for you two to go get your books.” Father said and I nearly jumped. I had no idea he was behind me and the guy is for real scary.
“Alright Father; come on Samantha.” Draco said and pretty much dragged me to the school books causing me to bump into a red headed girl about my age.
“I am so sorry; I didn’t mean to bump into you.” I said dropping Draco’s hand and turning to her.
“It’s alright; I wasn’t looking where I was going anyway.” She said smiling at me.
