After Hagrid was allowed to get a new wand, Harry helped to teach him the Patronus charm. Everyone expected Hagrid to have a terrifying monster for a Patronus, like Fluffy or Norberta. Instead Hedwig burst out if his wand. Hagrid tearfully explained to Harry," I'm the one the bought 'er for you, and sometimes I feel like it's my fault she's not around anymore. I know how much you loved her." Harry smiled and hugged Hagrid, and then thanked him for letting him see his owl again.
