The Days I Hope For

The days I hope for

Are beyond my reach

The moment I step forward,

They'd always retreat

I want the sky blue

Dark thunder clouds came

I want the sun bright

But it's already night

I'd wish for a hug

You usually aren't there

I stand there alone

Praying for home

I want to be free

I want to sail seas

I want to fly high

Like the birds in the sky

Days have gone by

While I wished to smile

Although I try

It ends up a cry

Maybe one time

I can get what I want

Get what I wished for

And do what I need

Sometimes I feel

That life should just end

Sometimes I want

To feel no pain, or hurt

We all know that's pointless

It's simply insane

No matter how hard we try

We cannot block emotions

I want to sprout wings

To fly to paradise

To go beyond imaginations

To a different world

I don't know why

Why I constantly try

They say it's impossible

They say it's strange

We humans are created

To be who we are

Not to fly like a bird

Not to swim like a fish

I shall not copy

Those stronger than me

I am myself

I'm who I am

There's days we all hope

Where we'll be known to the world

People shall see

And look up to you

Life's like a tree

The earth is the trunk

We are the leaves

Death is the winter

Whenever a leaf falls

A one of us dies

Whenever leaves grow

A human is born

It is a cycle

Through spring to winter

Yet the tree does not give up

In winter at all

This is what life should be like

Not leaves willing to fall

We should fight to the top

No violence at all

A tree can be a role model

Yet not seeking attention

It never frowns

Even when it's chopped down

I'd never give up

Even though it seems

The days I hope for

Are impossible to reach
