I am currently at Jason and I's favorite restaurant (A/N: Can you guys come up with a name for the restaurant because I am stuck). We got seated at a booth, we both already knew what we wanted so we ordered. The waitress left and then Jason said, "Ask me anything... Tonight I am an open book.." He smiles, but then he says, "Although first I wanna ask you... Why didn't you take my blood yesterday?" I sigh and say, "Do you really want to know?" He just nodded, I sighed and asked, "Do you know what a Heretic is?" He nods and asks, "I have been trying to avoid them... I know there is another coven of Heretics, but I hope I never run into one, Why?" I sigh and say, "You aren't going to like my answer, but you need too know the truth." I sigh and then continue, "I'm part of that coven of Heretics. I am currently in transitioning. However, I have till graduation and that's when I lose my magic along with my vampirism if I don't feed before then. My grandmom is annoyed with me because I refuse to turn or feed on anything. The reason why I refuse is because anything can turn me, human blood, vampire blood, anything. As long as I have my grandmom's blood, who is a Heretic, in my system, I can turn. Since I am refusing to turn depending on how weak I am by graduation because I refuse to turn, I may or may not die. Okay.. umm.. Anyways... Why did you try to feed me your blood yesterday?" Jason just looked at me shocked trying to sink everything I just said in. Then he replied, "My blood heals people... Would yours?" He nods and I say, "It could... I am not sure, though... Obviously, I wouldn't know since I am technically not a Heretic, but anyways How old are you?" he chuckles and responds "161 years old... and you?" I laugh and say, "Damn.. you're old! Also, I'm not a Heretic." He nods. "I've seen all the Twilight movies, and they sparkle in the sun... They also can't eat human foods... How can you?" Jason just laughs and says, "Nothing in that movie is real... I don't sparkle because I have a ring that protects me from the sun and I can still eat because even though I am dead... I am also technically still alive..." I nod, "Do your eyes do that weird veiny thing too when you're thirsty?" He just nods and says, "Would yours?" I just nod, and he says, "I can tell somethings on your mind... What is it?" I say, "Well... Umm..." I started fidgeting with the hem of my shirt, "Have you ever wanted to.." He cut me off by saying, "Suck your blood?" I just nodded, and so did he, but he then said, "I didn't though because you're my best friend and I would never.. ever do anything to hurt you... No matter how thirsty I was... You have to understand Ari... I am a good vampire, I don't want to see anything bad happen to you, I'd do anything to protect you, Ari... It would ruin me if you got hurt..." I smiled and nodded. "Are vampires allergic to things?" Jason laughs and says, "No, but vervain is something that we can't touch or eat because it burns badly... Also, a wooden stake can kill a vampire.." I nod and say, "Do you have powers?" Jason laughs again and says, "I don't if this counts as a power, but we can compel people, and all you have to do is just look a person in the eyes, and you can tell them what to do... In order to prevent that from happening humans can wear vervain within an item like a necklace or ring just some jewelry..."
The food finally came and then Jason said, "as I was saying before.. vervain would have to be in jewelry.. so.. I got you something... However, you have to you'll never take it off" I smiled and nod. He walks behind and puts the a necklace around my neck. I look down at the necklace and smile.

"I love it Jason.." He smiled and said, "good now promise me you'll never take it off.." I nod and say, "I promise, but why?" He said, "that necklace has vervain in it and as long as you're wearing it vampires wont be able to compel you..." I smile, nod, and say, "Okay... I won't take it off... However, what if I happen to turn... Then I am going to have to take it off..." He nods and says, "That's understandable..."
Later that night..
I got a call at like 12am from my half-brother Frankie and he was freaking out saying, "Ariana!" I say, "Frankie what's wrong?" he said panicking, "Mom and I wanted to surprise you and visit you at college, but we made a stop like 20 minutes from your college, I went to go to the bathroom, came back and mom was laying on the ground with blood coming out of her neck! I think it might have been an animal attack! you need to come down now!" I hung up and got up quickly grabbed my shoes and quietly made my way out of the dorms and to my car I managed to start my car.
I made my way to the gas station and saw Frankie standing there freaking out. "Frankie! Where is she?" I saw her and gasped, "T-that's no a-animal bite F-frankie.." I bent down and touched her bloody neck. I jumped up when I heard a familiarly voice said, "It's a hybrid bite.." I rolled my eyes "Klaus.." I turned to face him and he said, "You might not remember because you were drifting to sleep from the shot I gave you, but I told you that If you tried to leave me... I'd go after your family.." Klaus looked at Frankie and said, "Frankie take your mom and get out of here... forget everything that Just happened.." Frankie nodded and did exactly that. Klaus smirked and said, "And then there was two.." I am terrified right now, but i am trying not too show it. He smirks and says, "We'll meet again, but it won't be pretty..." with that he was gone.
I quietly made my way back up to my dorm, it was like 1:35am, I got lucky because there were only single dorms left. I got to my room and sat on the bed, I said to myself, "What did he mean by that?" I jumped when I heard, "What did who mean by what?" I looked up and said, "Nothing Jason..." He grabbed my hand and said, "Is that blood?" I nodded and said, "It's not mine though.. I am fine... I promise.." He looked at me and said, "Then who's it?" I sighed and snapped a little bit, "it's my moms!" He looked shocked, I sighed and said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you.." I sat on my bed and Jason sat next to me saying, "What happened?" I sighed and told him everything, "then Klaus said, 'We'll meet again, but it won't be pretty...' I don't even know what that means and it's scaring me.." Jason put his arm around me and I put my head on his shoulder. I just sighed and said, "Thank you for caring about me.." Jason smiles and says, "Always Ari.." I ended falling asleep with my head on his shoulder.
