LOOK AT MY BABY! 😍😍😍
- - - -I stepped closer to Harry to give him a hug. "Thank you so much for everything." I spoke with my head buried in his peppermint scented shirt.
"You're welcome, love." He beamed.
I was still in utter shock, as I invited him inside with me. That night, we spent talking and laughing to each other.
Two years later
Ever since that night more than two years ago, Harry and I have began dating, and have been together for a year and a half. I couldn't be more happier with him, as he is the sweetest and funniest person I could ever have.
Being with Harry makes me so incredibly happy; more than what words could ever describe. He still buys me flowers everyday, and leaves sweet notes tied to them. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve someone like him.
Today, we are graduating. I can't believe how fast time has passed. It seemed just like yesterday that him and I met in the University's library.
I took a last look at my now empty dorm, and felt a wave of sadness and excitement wash over me. The future scared me, yet I was optimistic to see what was coming ahead for me.
I opened the door and my eyes laid upon a colourful bouquet of flowers inside a gorgeous purple container. I immediately knew it was from Harry. It was beautiful. I noticed that each of them had a note stuck onto them. After picking the bouquet up off the floor, I went back inside the room to see what he had left for me.
The first flower I saw was an Apple Blossom. The note read "Apple Blossom: Promise - I promise that I will love you until the day I die."
After reading just the first note, I already felt tears brimming my eyes.
The second flower was a forget-me-not. "Forget-me-not: Remember me for - All the fun times we've had, and the many more to come."
Then I picked up a lilac. "Lilac: First love - You are my first love; and I want you to be my last."
Up next was the stargazer. "Stargazer: Ambition - I dream of being with you until the day I die."
The next flower was a white carnation. It said "White Carnation: Remembrance - I will always remember these past four years with you. You were the highlight of my college years. I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend these years with."
Next, was a ginger flower. "Ginger: Proud - I am so proud of you. We made it. Those long classes we endured and those last minute reviews are all worth it now. On to the next chapter of our lives."
After that was an Amaryllis. "Amaryllis: Beyond beauty - You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met, inside and out. And that's one of the many more things I love most about you."
Then there were three daffodils. "Daffodils: Joy and Happiness - I wish you Happiness for the rest of your life, and I am willing to help make that happen. I will make you the happiest woman alive, just like I am the happiest man alive when I'm with you."
Then, there was a gardenia. "Gardenia: Joy - You genuinely make me the happiest man alive. Every little thing you do cracks me up. All those late night conversations leave a smile on my face, even until I fall asleep. Your smile makes me smile. Your laugh is my favourite sound. Ever since the day that we met, I found myself smiling and laughing more every day; sometimes even for no reason. I am crazy for you, Lily."
Lastly, there was a yellow tulip. "Yellow tulip: Helplessly in love - I know I've said it before; and I'll never get tired of saying it. I am helplessly and completely in love with you Lillian Marie Brooks. I won't be afraid or shy to say it. Always remember that. No matter what life throws ahead of us, just know I'll be here for you. I will never leave your side. I love you so much babe."
By the end of reading the last note, there were tears pouring out of my eyes. Thank god I had waterproof makeup so I didn't look like a monster of some sort. I basically ran to the door with the bouquet in hand in order to find Harry. I automatically felt bad, because my present to him was just a picture of both of us in a frame along with a four page letter I wrote for him.
When I opened the door, Harry was at the doorway. I put the flowers on the floor as fast as I could without damaging them, and I jumped on my loving boyfriend.
"I love you so much Harry. Thank you for what you did. It was extremely sweet. I love you. God, I love you so much." I murmured into his neck.
He chuckled a bit then replied "I love you Lillian. Anything for you. You know I love you so much. I don't think I'll ever stop falling for you."
Tears formed in my eyes once more, as I leaned forward, wanting to kiss him.
Our lips met, and the fireworks were still there from the first time we kissed. There was something about us two; a connection; a bond that was practically unbreakable.
We kissed like we haven't seen each other for years. I still could not believe how this man in front of me fell in love with a plain Jane like me. I guess miracles do happen. And he was definitely mine.
