Prologue

Dear Cupid,
I'm in dire need of your assistance! Ever since Steven (who is my boyfriend although I'm sure you know that already) went to New York for his soccer team tournament, he's been distant. It started once he got back, I was waiting for his bus and when he got out I ran to give him a hug but he stopped me and said he was tired. Since then he's been hanging with his team a lot and barely (if at all) talks to me. He even forgot about our two year anniversary! You have no idea (although you probably do) how many tears I've shed and I just can't stand it anymore! I tried confronting him but he's always making the excuse that he's busy. I know he's cheating on me I mean it's obvious but at first I didn't want to believe it, and in a way I still don't. Oh Cupid you just NEED to help me. Tell me there's a possibility I'm wrong, maybe it's a guy thing? Oh please help! If he is cheating on me I bet it's the slut cheerleader Chelsie whom I know you MUST know considering her reputation. I've seen the way she looks at him... Either way please respond soon, I'm desperate and I just don't know what to do!

Dear Melanie,
Once I saw this email I just knew you were the first one in need of immediate response. I didn't even need to open the email to feel your desperation! Your situation is of the upmost tragic, the topic of cheating, so taboo yet so common. I've seen you around, with your red locks of hair, skin pale, a trouble maker pretending to be heartless when in reality you're one of the most sensitive in your group! I know you want a possibility of being wrong, but the chances already seem so high I don't know of any other possibility that could possibly be. Yet, I've seen Steven. He's a sweet guy, kind hearted and fair, good to everyone , is liked by everyone, cute too. It just doesn't seem like him, I don't want to believe it either. So I've come up with a plan. As you say, Steven has been with his group constantly, you're in luck as I know where he's heading to next! I'll do you a huge favor I've never don't for anyone else before, and spy on him. The only reason I'm doing this is because I practically know Steven, and this just doesn't sound like him so I just can't ignore it. I'll figure out as much as I can, hopefully the truth.
