I only hear my soft gentle footsteps on the wooden floor as I sneak through the small space in the closet. A tear slides down my face as I creep over to the door. A month? I slept for a month, I am so confused. What had happened to my mother? My father? Athur and Rebecca? I don't even kno what to do anymore.
I slowly open the closet door, the keys clenched in my hand. I creep down the hallways, down the spiralling staircase. Only a litle further... I freeze, voices.
"Well I'm so sorry Edward but, you cannot see her now. She is in a state of shock you see." A smooth soft voice says.
"We made a deal Melantha! I gave you your gold now give her to me!" Edward says.
"Oh please dear you must stay a little longer a month? Now thats baby talk stay another and you'll see what a lovely place it is. I'm sure Cellia will come out of that room of hers, shes... a bit shy..." She says her voice sounding manipulative like a snake's.
I hold my breathe and go back up the stairs, their voices getting closer. I run quietly to the other staircase when I run into someone. She screams sheets flying everywhere. She looks up frightened, her face changes to shock then confusion as she sees my face. Margret.
"Cellia! What are you doing here! I thought... I thought..." A tear rolls down her face as she takes me in, "What happened child?" She says teary eyed.
"I feel asleep... For a long time. Are you alright Margret?" I whisper, looking around expecting someone to come aroudn the corner at any moment.
"Yes fine all fine deary. We better hurry." She says getting up, I help her pick up the last of her fallen sheets. She pauses and embraces me in a tight hug, I welcome her into my arms. Even if I'd been asleep I'd missed her.
"Hurry dear, we have to get you outside, you're not safe inside the castle anymore." She says pulling me along down a long narrow hallway. Not safe in the castle anymore? Get me outside? Even under the circumstances I'd waited for those words for a long time. Ever since my mother first told me I couldn't go outside, couldn't go outside into the snow, and couldn't go to the yearly Carnival. I had been waiting for those words for a long long time.
I rush after her spinning around to look for any guards. No one. It was quiet, completely silent as we ran through my once beloved castle. I lost track of time, I followed Margret, her pulling on my hand, leading me down the endless corridors and hallways through endless amounts of doors.
Finally we reach a small oak door with a beautiful curved handle. "Cellia. Listen to me, find your friends and make sure to always stay hidden." She pulls out a dark green cloak and dark sunglasses from a cuboard next to the door. She hands them to me, gives me one last hug and runs off back to the depths of the castle. I pull the cloak on and the sunglasses. I feel a tear sliding down my face as I see her go. I turn back to the door, pull the hood over my head and open it to the outside.
