Dolly

"Cut! Let's take a break, everyone."

"Ah, gosh. I feel so groggy and below par." I groaned and drained the remnants of my water bottle.

"Hey, you!"

A dangerously familiar voice calls out in the open. I trained myself not to look and turn the opposite way.

"Dolly, I think Harry is calling you."

"No. It's probably another girl. And don't touch me, please." I swat away Patrick's hand for he annoyingly kept on nudging me.

"Dolly Deveroux." The devil calls out again.

"See? He's calling your name. Now go there."

Showing a lack of interest in talking with him, I stood up and grudgingly trudge my way to their tent.

"You called?" I mutter coldly.

The boys jeered and applauded at Harry. I wasn't sure if they are trying to ridicule him. And if they aren't, I must say what a supportive lot they are to their friend, eh?

"Are you trying to stand out from everyone else?" He asked, scanning my appearance.

"Excuse me?" I laughed, and the lads joined me.

"I've just been told that my perception of beauty is a little off."

"That's because your mind is a little loose." I shot back, crossing my arms across my chest.

After what he did last night? He has the audacity to talk to me like this? My goodness!

"What are you wearing? Look at all the women here and look at yourself." He said. "I told you not to look like a hag when--"

"I'm sorry, Harry." I gave stress on his name, putting one hand on my hip. "I was not trying anything. These is the way I dress ever since you met me. If there's nothing else, I'll go ahead."

"Attaway, Harry! You finally made her mad!" The four jeered, guffawing and cackling madly.

Hah! You've been trespassing my daily agenda and now you want to take over how I dress?

"What? What's with her sudden dour mood?" I hear him ask the others while he takes his seat, fuming. "Did I step on some sort of land mine?"

If you care for me even for a little, sometimes it's important not to miss the subtle little hints that I gave you, Harry Styles.

My phone suddenly rings and I answer it without checking who is the caller.

"Hello?"

"Turn around."

Curious, I did as I was told and I almost jumped on my spot.

"Hunter!"

"Did I scare you?"

I roll my eyes as he laughs at my surprised expression.

"No." My word came out as a question while I clutch on my chest.

We bought snacks to munch on and sat on a bench just outside the lake.

"What brings you here?"

"Can't I visit a friend?" Here he goes again with his rhetorical questions.

"By the way, thanks for saving me last night." I forgot to thank him for helping me even though I didn't really want him to help me then. Still, he found the necklace, so yeah.

"I commend you though." He said with his mouth full of the food. "I never saw any girl able to swim while wearing an inflated frock."

His comment made me taut my brows and ask, "Is that a compliment?"
