Descisions

Dib walked beside me as we strolled down the sidewalk. I was deep in thought.

I was a friends with what was considered an enemy. Why? Why didn't anyone else care to save him? What will the Tallests think of this?

"And he said 'Well of course I hate peanuts!' Crazy, am I right?" Dib nudged me gently with his elbow. I was shaken from my thoughts. Was he actually talking that whole time?

"Er, yeah." I replied, trailing back into thought. He seemed to go on and on forever about all sorts of things. It was getting a little annoying. Suddenly, dark clouds hung overhead as it started to rain. The water burned my skin.

"OW!" I exclaimed. Dib thought of something to do, then he gave me his trench coat. Honestly, that was bit stupid because I could have used my own.

"Er... Dib? You know I could have used my trench coat, right?" For a second he just stared at me, then replied, "Uh, right..." He awkwardly took it back. I could tell he was a bit embarrassed by the look on his face. Quickly, I grabbed my coat and pulled it over my head before any more rain got on me.

We approached to the fake shoe shop that I lived in and beckoned Dib to come in. We walked through the glass doors. As soon as we entered, I disabled my disguise.

"You live here? It's a shoe shop. You don't have a lab." Dib commented,"I thought this place was suspicious." he muttered under his breath, trying to make sure I didn't hear.

"Ah, but that's what you humans think!" I said enthusiastically to brighten the mood. I lead him to back where the lever hung on the wall. As I pulled it, Dib let out a little shout as we started to head underground. We stepped off the platform and he stared around in awe.

"This lab looks a lot like Zim's." he whispered. "Ugh, please don't say that name to me." I grumbled. Dib just gave me a sideways glance and we walked on.

"I guess I should show you my base, but it's best you don't touch anything." I said to him in a more cheerful tone. He just walked with me as I explained where everything was. I was rather surprised to find that I was the one talking and not Dib.

Bug was walking around, making sure the base was in ship shape. "This is Bug," I told my guest, "She's my S.I.R unit." Bug looked at Dib with a mix of anger and worry.

"Uh... What's your name? You never told me." he asked suddenly. I stared at him in shock. He was right!

"Sorry, it's Pib." I answered, my antennae tingling furiously with guilt and embarrassment.

"Pib, I think your S.I.T, or whatever you call it, isn't very fond of me..." he said nervously. He tugged at the collar of his shirt. A few seconds later Bug unexpectedly jumped onto Dib's face and screamed, "Intruder!!! Don't worry master, I'll protect the base!"

"AHH!!! Get it off me!" Dib cried. I stifled a giggle as I watched them terrorize each other.

"Break it up, you two." I snapped, becoming more serious as I pulled Bug off of Dib's head. He was freaked out and his eyes wee as huge as saucers. My S.I.R hissed at him as she scurried away.

"Well that was a bad first impression..." I chuckled to Dib.

After we were done with the little tour, Dib yawned and told me goodbye, but immediately turned around.

"Wait! There's this place called Skool. I'm basically the least popular kid there, and I could really use your company," he explained, "Would you mind going or at least learning a little bit about it? It would help me out."

"Of course!" I said. For a second I thought I saw him blush, then he traveled up on the elevator. I blushed A LOT after he left. What was this feeling I felt for him? Why did it feel so... Awkward?

"Computer, search up this... 'Skool.'" I said, and a picture of what looked like the Skool showed up on the screen.

"Skool is a place where human children learn things like math, science, language arts, and earth history." The computer replied in a booming voice. When I look to my side, I found Bug standing next to me, staring from me to the screen.

"Earth history... Maybe that could help us." I said out loud to myself. I then switched my mind back to Dib. I couldn't stop thinking about him. He stayed on my mind for the rest the day as I sat at my computer. Bug noticed something was wrong and she looked at me.

"Master, is something troubling you?" she asked hopefully. I studied her for a little bit, then finally told her.

"Bug... I think I'm in love..." I said blankly.
