I sigh and close up my Journal. I barely wrote anything in it... Whatever. I placed it in the top drawer of my desk, and, put some papers and notebooks over top. I got off my chair and headed upstairs, slowly shutting, than locking he basement door behind me. I then walked into my living. Oh, how empty it was. I live in my own, now that I'm 18. It's still quiet lonely, I must say. I walked over to my small bookshelf and grabbed a single green book off the top of the pile. It was called 'Everything goes somewhere' and it was about a young boy who had lived as an lonely child for most of his life. I sat down on my couch and opened back up my book to the point where I left off.
The wind rushed through Kevin's messy hair as he ran as fast as he could, back to the old barn. "Sophie! Sophie!" He cried, knocking open the Barn's doors. He stared in shock as Sophie was laying still in the hay, above the first floor. He dashed upstairs in a quick motion, his breath grew heavy.
Knock knock!
I was snapped out of my reading when I heard a sudden knocking on my front door. I placed my book beside me as I walked over to my front door and opened it. A little Toad was standing there. "Hewo miss. I accidentally throwed my ball into your yard. Can I please get it?" He asked. "Of course you can!" I said, showing the child where my backyard was. Sure enough, a red and white soccer ball laid in the middle of my yard. The Toad picked it up and smiled at me. "Tank you!" He said cheerfully, running out of the house. I smiled and closed my front door. All of a sudden, I could feel the ground starting to shake! Curious, et baffled, I opened my front door to see a giant ship slowly making its way over the houses of the Mushroom Kingdom, firing at every house in front of it. I gasped and ran upstairs. "It's gonna hit my house soon! I gotta pack up the most important stuff!" I said, pulling out a backpack. I grabbed my wallet, some clothes, my hat, a pair of shoes, two books, a glass horse, a small box and a stuffed wolf, then shoved them in my bag. Running downstairs, I looked around, not seeing anything I needed. "The basement!" I unlocked the door and ran into the only basement room. I opened up my desk and grabbed my case of drawing stuff, my drawing book, my journal and my phone. I was about leave the basement when I heard a cat's mewing. I looked around and saw a whole near the door. There was a kitten laying beside it's dead mother. The kitten was a brown tabby with amber eyes, and my heart grows heavy. "I can't just leave you here!" I pick up the kitten and run out of my house just in time before it blew up. The kittens mewing became louder and more dreadful. I put the kitten in my pocket and ran towards the castle. 'That ship is going towards the castle, I have to protect Princess Peach!' I thought, dashing into the castle. I looked around and saw a main staircase and dashed up it. I tried to open the room at the top, but it was locked. Then, I heard a loud crash behind me. I spun around to see the ship stuck in the walls! Suddenly, I'm hit in the back of my head with something. I fall to the ground, my vision failing me. "Boss! Look at what we just found!" "Is that..?" "Yes, it is." "Take her with us, and nab Peach too! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" That was the last thing I heard before passing out...
