                                                   The Mediterranean Sea

Noah fumbled with fragile glass vials as he located the empty slots on the wall meant for this species. He and his children had spent the majority of the last year gathering blood samples from living and recently deceased animals. Per Yahwew's instructions, he now had two vials from every species of animal from northern Europe all the way to the southern tip of Arabia. Of the winged animals, he had collected seven vials a piece. Upon collecting them, he would return them to the large floating bunker he and his family had constructed. The whole plan, he thought, seemed fallible at best, but he was simply carrying out the wishes of his mother, who was in turn simply following instructions given by his father. As he dropped these last vials into place, with "scorpion" written on the side, he couldn't help but reflect on what had gotten him to this point...

Noah had never met his father. His mother had always done her best to provide for him and she had done a good job, but he nonetheless had always wondered who his father was, as all little children do. His mother had always told him that he didn't have a father; that he was truly a blessing bestowed upon a barren woman who had given up all hope of ever giving birth. He knew that wasn't true. He knew it wasn't true because his mother was well past child-bearing age at the time of his birth. And he had always been...different. He had always been able to get inside others' heads' and compel them to do things that he willed. At one hundred-fifty years of age, he had already outlived everyone else that he had ever known, and his strength had not left him yet. His skin had the lightest shade of blue, and he had always had an innate grasp of concepts that seemed to elude others. These facts, however unbelievable, always led him to one conclusion. Based upon his own characteristics, and his mothers' inability to offer any other explanation, he supposed that his father was, in fact, not human at all.

One night as he slept, Yahwew came to him in a dream, and laid everything down. He admitted to being Noah's father, and told him that he had implanted his own DNA into the womb of Noah's mother. He burdened Noah with what he called a "glorious purpose;" that when Noah came of age, and the time was right, it would be he who led the purge against the wickedness of human civilization. He revealed that Noah was an insurance policy, conceived and born for the sole purpose of building a "better human being."  He had instructed Noah to gather blood samples from every animal in the area, so that the natural ecosystem could be restored after the impurities had been abolished.

Now, as the final blood sample slid into place, Noah gathered his family on the floating bunker and awaited Yahwew's purge. His eyes were trained on the sky to the south, waiting for the sign of the coming flood.

                                                                            Egypt

The massive cranes, constructed from wood and rope, lowered the silver capstone onto the top of the Great Pyramid, and as the final "click" was heard from the massive conductor falling into place, the air around the top of the pyramid began to crackle and spark with visible electrical charge. All three pyramids shuddered, then settled into a rhythmic vibration. The hidden trap doors built into the side of the pyramids slid open, and the reaction of the chemicals in the holding tanks beneath the blocks reacted with the electrical charge, forming an intensely white-hot beam that traveled from pyramid to pyramid before finally being redirected upwards out of the atmosphere, where it was intercepted by the orbiting E.D.E.N. The massive reflective mirror on the underside of the vessel repositioned itself, and the beam in turn bounced off the mirror and began shooting back toward the Earth.

                                                The Mediterranean Sea

When the beam hit the mirror in outer space, it created a blindingly white flash, which Noah recognized as the signal to close the doors. He ordered them closed, and instructed his wife and eight children to strap in. No sooner had the doors been closed than the beam made contact with the naturally occurring levee separating the frigid waters of the Mediterranean Sea from the Turkish mainland. The beam carved through the land like a hot knife slicing through butter, and the water pressure from the sea did the rest. "Everyone, hold on!" Noah shouted as the flood of seawater battered against his vessel, sweeping it away in the current.  Faster and faster they went, watching the water from the sea drown everything and everyone. Children cried out for their mothers as they were being swept under. Trees were snapping like twigs. The beam from space continued to destroy land mass, carving an intricate coastline and unleashing the might of the sea across  three continents.  With no rudder, Noah's ark  was at the mercy of the waves. They had no choice but to just hold on and enjoy the ride.
