Within the hour, Samson, Michael and Lucy were on a plane and flying north for a family gathering that Samson had never thought would happen. From the minute that they had stepped from the house, he had become tense and on edge. The further they made their way threw the air, and with the towns and cities becoming smaller and smaller below them, that hardly helped to put Samson at any ease.

Michael hadn't taken his gaze from either of the mates the moment they had agreed to come with him, but now he seemed to relax as soon as they had got on the plane. It appeared that now they were on the plane, they weren't going to make any drastic escape attempts. Even Samson wasn't crazy enough to through himself out of a plane.

"I'd forgotten that you had never been a fan of heights, Sammy." Michael said, his laugh was only slight but his expression was smug. As though it was only one further thing that he had over the younger wolf.

A growl came from his throat at the nickname, he may have tolerated it when he had to, back 'home' but that was a long time ago, and he wasn't very well about to accept a younger wolf referring to him as such. "I stopped being 'Sammy' a long time ago, Mikey." He growled looking down his nose at the smaller man. Making himself as tall as he could and breathing in deeply, trying to make himself look as threatening as he could. Which wasn't of great ease, considering the tight conditions of the aircraft on which they were travelling.

Shrugging his shoulders, trying to make himself look more relaxed then he felt. Though that wouldn't have been difficult, he was half certain he'd look more relaxed at this point if someone had been holding a gun to his head. "We are in a tin can flying thousands of metres above the ground, waiting to go somewhere where I am hated." He growled simply, his eyes concentrating on the clouds just outside of his window.

Lucy was clearly restless at his side, shifting from side to side but she couldn't seem to find anywhere to sit comfortable. Samson wasn't exactly about to blame her, he too was on edge. He was thankful that they had been able to use his father's private plane, he had the dreadful feeling that if things carried on for too long one of them would lose control and shift. He pitied the pilot should they at some point hit turbulence.

Taking his mate's hand in his own and squeezing it, a comfort for both her and himself. "If you think you'd be calm in my situation," Samson said now turning for a brief second to glare at Michael. "You are clearly a liar."

Crossing her legs so that she was sitting half on Samson's chair and half on her own, Lucy turned her own gaze to the person she still viewed as a stranger. "Wolves aren't meant for the air, they're meant to have their four paws on the ground running. Its about as unnatural as you can imagine." She retorted, her eyes dancing from left to right every time the plane so much as swung left. It had been her first time on such a small plane, and it made her less than comfortable.

Michael turned to look at the woman, one of the first times he clearly acknowledged her, though Samson wasn't sure if it was out of politeness due to the fact that she was the mate of another wolf, or because that's just what Michael felt about anything to do with him.

However, he didn't say anything and just listened to what he had to say. He knew full well that Lucy was more than capable of looking after herself if she needed to, but he would stay close should it become necessary for him to.

"Flight is part of a Bone members weekly life." He answered simply, settling back and watching how they'd both react. Picking up their every moment, "We live on a mountain. We can hardly pop down the road for groceries, we needed to go weekly to get the necessities for our lifestyle." Michael answered simply, careful to be polite but that didn't mean that his words didn't carry the distaste that his voice carried.
