I got too much focused that I didn't know what time it was, when I checked it was already 1 in the morning. Since I didn't like the idea of making dinner by myself, I went to sleep.
When I woke up, I didn't really know why I did it but I prepared for school and as I walked out the gate, I don't know what brought it to me but, I ran the opposite direction of the school, straight to David's house.
As I arrived there, I sat against the wall, waiting for him to come out of his house and without realizing, while I sat there motionless head faced down, a tear fell out of my eye.
Just then I heard a voice, "What in the world are you doing here?"
I looked up as I saw David standing there looking confused.
"Sorry." I said silently.
"What?" he said.
"I'm really sorry for the ridiculous and despicable behavior I showed you yesterday, I thought over it and thought that I was so rude, and I was so childish so how can I make it up to you?" I said a liitle bit louder.
"Well, you know me, forgive and forget." he said quietly.
"Thank you", I said grabbing his arm and holding it tightly.
He looked at me then smiled intently as I looked up to him.
"You really are a great person." I said to him.
"Yesterday, you told me that I was despicable and how you hated me so much but now you think that I'm such a great person? What a change of heart." he said as he laughed.
"Yeah, pretty much." I said chuckling.
Then we went our way to school.
When we arrived at school, our teacher was waiting for us by the gate. "Just who I was waiting for, you two come here, we need to talk.
David and I exchanged nervous glances at each other.
I was thinking, was this the work of Alex, or Sheane, or Axl? Did they possibly get us into trouble?
Once we arrived in her office, she spoke, "We need two brilliant students from different years and they shall represent our school in a contest next week and since you two have been toping ever since and are excellent even in extra-curricular activities, I thought you two would suit the position.
"Fine, will do." we both said.
As we went in the classroom we noticed that it was already Math time and asked our teacher for his patience and we made our apologies, thus we sat in our own seats.
When it was dismissal time, we went home together since our houses were near each other.
As we arrived at my house he bid farewell. "Bye, see you tomorrow! I'll be fetching you here around 7." he said.
"Ok!" I said as I waved my hand in reply.
I lay on my bed thinking like I didn't hate David anymore.
As Alex said 'The more you hate the more you love'.
I didn't believe this at first but I think my experience today served as the very absolute proof of that very phrase.
Then I was thinking of what to do tomorrow...
