Grace and her best friend, Lacei Johnson, giggled as they passed their yearbooks around to the popular boys. They were hoping that one of the boys would leave his number. No such luck. To celebrate their last day of school, Mrs. Johnson would take them to the mall to spend their chore money. Grace wasn't that kind of girl who liked shopping, but she would do anything to get away from her three older brothers Elliot,Eli, and Ethan. Grace had saved up $150 from chores, babysitting, and other jobs the people in her neighborhood had given her. But first they had to go to the pool off of the gym to get their swimsuits that they left there after their swim meet yesterday. Lacei ran to the lockers to get their suits while Grace dipped her toes in the pool. She dipped her whole foot in next. She pulled them out in surprise. Her feet didn't get wet at all. " Summer excitement?" Grace said.
