Hope and her older sister Kat were out gardening one saturday morning. It was their mom's birthday and she loved flowers, so Hope had decided to plant some new flowers for her mom since they had a big storm last month that killed all of their flowers. Kat didn't have any present by yesterday evening, so Hope said that Kat could help her plant flowers. Kat didn't want to get up that early, but she was running out of time so she accepted. Hope was planting some sunflower seedlings when Kat called her to ask how much water to put on the them. Hope always had a nack for anything that involved planting and gardening. Hope poured the right amount of water on Kat's rose bush seedlings when she went over to water her sunflowers. The first drop of water had barely touched the dirt when the sunflowers started groing. The sunflowers would not stop growing! The sunflowers finally stopped growing when they got as tall as the top of their house! Hope and Kat were both screaming now. Mr. and Mrs. Earthener were outside looking at it with shock. It was Mrs. Earthener who broke the silence. She started crying tears of joy! "Thank you so much Hope!" she said! " I have never seen any flowers that beautiful, and I run the flower shop! This is the best birthday present ever!" Mrs. Earthener said.
