Sorry if you never heard of it before.
*history lesson from Webs* when the pioneers of Canada first came, they made this stuff that helped them survive several winters and droughts and stuff. It's called bannock! They were basically made out of flour and water, and roasted in front of a fire. You have to be very careful, don't burn it or it will be very burnt on the outside but still raw in the inside. It's the best!! I had it before, very very good. You can add stuff like
Cinnamon, (that's my name!), cocoa, dried coconut, raisins and blueberries. When it's cooked, you can add jam and butter and more cinnamon, or if there's still a hole you can squirt whipped cream in the inside. It Is The Best!!! XD XD XD
Here's how:
Bannock
3 cups of flour (white or brown or all purpose)
1 teaspoon of salt (preferably fine)
2 tablespoons of baking soda
1/4 cup of butter of margarine or shortening, softened
1 and 1/2 of water, if too dry add 2 tablespoons.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Wash your hands and stuff.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients together with your bare hands
3. Add the butter and stuff and mix with your bare hands
4. Add the water and extra water and mix with your bare hands
5. Mood into a ball and put it in a plastic bag in the fridge, and there for a half hour. Then soften and stick onto a stick, and hold over a FIRE. Or just bake in the oven. But it's better the other way!
Also thank you A LOT to Cloverflame0101 and PeaceKeep3r for voting and stuff! It's so nice ;) You guys should try making this in the summer at one point. No pressure though! Bye!
