That Thursday, King Garrick took the Princely Adventure Club to the Misty Forests of Outer Marttinos. They were each on zip lines, wearing harnesses for safety.
"We'll be going really fast, so you have to keep your eyes open for mist," Garrick declared.
"What's so interesting about mist?" James asked.
"It's more than just mist—it can change into any shape," Garrick grinned. "Hang on tight because here we do!"
Garrick and the boys went down the zip lines and held out their canteens. There were so many different shapes made of mist. The princes were having lots of fun—but thanks to Sofia's absence, Hugo barely noticed because he wasn't enjoying himself.
"Having fun, champ?" Garrick asked his son.
"A blast," Hugo smiled nervously. But then he turned his head and told himself, "I'd feel even better if Sofia was here. I hope she's having more than I am."
